Introduction!

Hello! Welcome to my blog!

I'm Avery, 18 year old assistant to Professor Poplar, a newer professor in the Galar region! He's also my dad. I use they/them pronouns!

I took the STEM track at Naranja Academy, so I like to think I'm pretty smart! I do enjoy a little mischief from time to time, too!

My Pokemon are as follows: -Motor the Rotom -Oberon the Sylveon -Hero the Gallade -Squishy the Goomy

hello! im Hallow, and i run this blog! there are some important rules to my roleplay and worldbuilding that i want to establish before this blog really gets going.

Roleplay rules:

-dont be weird to Avery. seriously, sexually charged messages will be blocked.

-Avery uses exclusively they/them pronouns. if you misgender them youre getting ignored, sorry.

Worldbuilding rules:

-Pokemon cant talk. some can mimic, and rotom can message through a screen, but full human speech isnt possible.

-catching a legendary is nearly impossible and also subject to a lot of legal nonsense.

Sinistea and Polteageist Species Guide

These Pokemon prefer to live in densely populated areas with humans. They hide in nice hotels, high-end restaurants, old houses, and any other places with fine porcelain in the Galar region.

This ghost-type Pokemon is created when cups of leftover tea are possessed by a spirit (not be confused with Poltchageist and Sinistcha, who are similar but they only inhabit matcha). They will only possess cups of black tea, but different blends attract different personalities. For example:

Assam → Extroverted, playful, charming, childish, impulsive

Darjeeling → Introverted, perfectionist, confident, blunt, opinionated

Ceylon → Social, patient, impassive, petty, creative, adamant

Keemun → Shy, gentle, sensitive, self-conscious, compassionate, cautious

Lapsang Souchong → Fiery, daring, adventurous, curious, absentminded, argumentative

Of course, additives like milk and sugar can also have an effect on what kind of spirits are possessing the tea.

Note: Artificial sweeteners like synthetic compounds and sugar alcohols tend to attract more deceitful personalities, but sweeteners derived from natural plant extracts can invite very cuddly inhabitants.

Stirring these Pokemon makes them dizzy and very irritable.

Similar to other ghost-types like Litwick they feed off of the life-force of living beings, mostly by getting someone to drink their tea. Of course, due to the excess of ectoplasm in the tea, it tends to taste awful and is mildly toxic. Drinking the tea usually leads to temporary stomach pain and nausea.

Sinistea evolve into Polteageist when they find a the perfect teapot to inhabit. They are very picky about their new homes as they will only consider a pot as long as it has the same pattern as their teacup. Once they move into a pot, they will leave behind a perfectly normal teacup (though drinking from it is still not recommended until the lingering presence of the former Sinistea has completely left it).

Despite being famously depicted in seafoam-colored tea sets, Polteageist and Sinistea will inhabit any kind of decorated tea set, both authentic antiques and modern forgeries.

Their tea is much more drinkable at this stage as they are able to control the amount of toxins in their tea. The more they dislike someone, the more poisonous their tea.

Polteageist multiply by simply mixing drops of themselves into cups of tea. So where you find Polteageist or Sinistea, you’re guaranteed to find more. One Polteageist can have enough Sinistea offspring to take over an entire hotel within months of entering the building. Frequent health inspections are required by law for all businesses in Galar to prevent large-scale infestations of these sneaky lil guys.

Walking Wake a legendary paradox pokemon from paldea that's a water/dragon type (most paradox pokemon are found in area zero while i found puppy in a tera den)

oh wow, thats fascinating. i had no idea that those existed! i knew about paradox pokemon but had no idea that they could look like legendary pokemon!

So shuppets can eat normally but when they feed off negative emotions they do it through their horns

When I first got Jiji, any time he fed off me (unless I was sleeping) I would call it "eating" and make comments about him being hungry, asking if it tasted good, etc. I said it kind of jokingly and to help myself get used to it - because even if I liked and encouraged it, its still an unusual an unusual and kind of intimate thing to get used to?

Jiji obviously could feel nervousness (again, sensating negative emotions is kind of a shuppet's whole deal so idk what kid me thought they were doing trying to hide it), so in what I later realized was an attempt to get me to relax, he started pretending to eat. Like a whole exaggerated "aaaaaaaahm" and chewing with puffed-up cheeks.

I gave such a loud surprised laugh it shocked us both, but then I started laughing for real at myself, and Jiji started laughing more too, and now years and years later he still does it to help cheer me up when I'm down 💜

This was just something I was thinking about today and wanted to share. What are some of the funny little things your Pokémon do?

Oberon, my sylveon, has to sniff everything that i get in the mail. he pesters me until i let him sniff whatever it is ive got.

🎃: what are they scared of

Motor is scared of very little, honestly. its not a fan of dark types but its not really scared of them? just doesnt like them.

Hero is scared of me getting hurt, actually! hes a gallade so it makes sense, hes very protective of me and has gotten so wound up hes been sick when im injured or sick.

Oberon is scared of thunder. its not entirely clear why, he hasnt had any bad experiences with electric types, but we think he just doesnt like the loud noise. with ears like his, im not surprised.

Squishy is scared of Oberon. not kidding, i cant have them out of their balls at the same time. this is because goomy are natural prey to sylveon. once Squishy evolves he should slowly get over that fear.

fellow eeveelution haver! can definitely agree that those seemingly little teeth are SHARP. Oberon will play bite sometimes and it hurts, and he doesnt even bite that hard.

Oooh you have a sylveon!! That’s so cool!! Yeah, Almost doesn’t usually bite but oh my arc it feels like being stabbed with a hunred tiny ice shards. Although sometimes he teethes on his brother (Houndoom)’s tail and said brother doesn’t seem to mind.
