((General PSA time! It's been kind of quiet around here I know. I'm working on it. I have a con coming up this weekend, am taking a class on coursera, and got convinced to pick up another muse (though to be perfectly honest it didn't take much convincing), so there's a bit of a balancing act going on. Bear with me through this week. I'm going to try and get my drafts caught up and etc so I'll have a clean slate when I head out for connage on Fri. I still love you all, and I"m not going to let the blog go inactive. Hurrah.))

Gabriel looked over at Crowley again before his eyes widened minutely. “…Well, hey.” He leaned closer over the fire, eyes gleaming in the firelight. “I’d been wondering what happened to you. Heard rumors, but to see you actually alive?”

It had been years since he’d heard anything from Crowley. A piddling amount of time, barely a drop in the bucket of their existence, but Lucifer roaming the Earth made that time feel a lot longer…and threatened to make their lives that much shorter.

It wasn’t as if he and Crowley had exactly parted under the best of circumstances, either.

"Gabriel," Crowley deadpanned, his suspicions confirmed. If that just didn't beat all. "Funny that you should mention rumors, since the one going around about you is all about a messy end." Of course, as far as Crowley knew, all the angels still on Earth had met a rather messy end, or at least a rather human one.

The demon let go of the crowbar and instead fumbled for another cigarette to light. If Gabriel decided to attack, the crowbar wouldn't help him. Maybe it was a sign. "Shouldn't be expecting anymore of your brothers to pop up out of the wood works, should I? Not sure I have enough beef jerky and backwater moonshine to go around."

Ohh fear is the hard one. Crowley isn't one to scare easily. Loss of control is the big one. Crowley's most comfortable when he has total command over a situation, take that command away and he starts getting nervous. Mortal peril kind of falls under this as a subheading as anything that would seriously threaten his life would be something out of his realm of control.
