ryouta’s mom will be referred to as hato bc i dont have a name for her whoopsie

ryuuji probably calls hato ‘ryouta’s mom’ or just her name. they dont feel close enough to her as they used to. so they don’t feel right calling her their wife

whether or not theyre still married is rly up in the air to me. if they are they probably never got around to filing a divorce

i dont remember if this is canon (need to replay games) but i think the main reason ryuuji would be w the hawk party is to pay for hospital bills or try to find a cure for hato and ryouta. 

if anything i know theyre fully aware of what theyre doing and what the hawk partys goals are.

im not sure if ryuuji agrees w it or not.

“I can show you a bunch of the cool rocks I have, too! I don’t think I have nearly as many as you probably do, but I have a bunch of really pretty ones!” She’s brimming with excitement at this point. This was the happiest she’d been in a while!

“Ahh, I’d love to see it!” This excited the dove yet again to the point that they were bouncing in place. Ohhh! How nice it was to find someone who liked the same thing they did. Or at least something similar. “I bet they’re really pretty! Which in your collection is your favourite?”

“You flatter me, Professor. I would not be nearly so skilled without my mentor.” Yet dae glanced away a little.

“Is it flattery if it’s the truth...? Mentoring can only go so far you know.” They purse their lips a bit before they broke out into a wide grin. “Ahhh. I don’t mean to make you uncomfortable! I’m sorry, Isa. I’ll shut my beak.” Their wings come up to cover their beak to show that they mean it.

“Unsatisfactory...? Isa, you’re never going to be unsatisfactory to me.”

“You work your tail feathers off, and produce such amazing results! You’re the literal reason the biology division is as great as it is! Even if you screw up or act a bit rude now and then... I’ll never think less of you.”

“The only thing I’ll be telling you is what I’m teaching you.”

“... Ahhh, I didn’t mean to ramble. Ha, I’m sorry if I’m just cooing out hot air.”

“R-really–??” They must have so many cool rocks…! “Th-thank you so much, Dr. Kawara! I really appreciate it!” She was practically vibrating with excitement. Cool rocks!!

“Yeah! You’re welcome, Spierce.” They coo happily for a bit before they nod. “There’s no point in me having them if I can’t share the joy. I’m just hatched that way, haha.” They’ve been collecting since they were fledgling, so they have a hefty amount in their collection.

“Whoa…! It’s so pretty!” She’d never seen real amber this close before! It was such a nice color… “You’re lucky to be able to find such pretty rocks! The ones I have aren’t nearly as nice.” Except for the one, somewhat small moonstone she had. That one was her favorite.

“It is! It’s one of my favourites.” They paused to hum to themselves for a bit before nodding. “Well, I can’t give you this one since it’s for a special somebirdie, but when you come to see my collection... You can pick out your favourite!”

“I’d like to take a look at your collection one day, if that’s alright!” It definitely wasn’t for the same purpose, but Spierce had a collection of rocks on the shelf in her room. She thought they were very pretty, but she didn’t know what a lot of them were. It might be worth it to bring them in and ask Dr. Kawara!

“Yes, you may! I’d love to show you my collection. Oh! Oh! I have something here.” They looked through their pockets for awhile with something akin to confusion before they fished out something. With their hands out, they opened them to reveal a chunk of amber. “Isn’t it just gorgeous!?”
