Here’s a closeup of Tracy’s art of Theo. As mentioned previously, he’s not actually wearing a blindfold but a mask that resembles one. (Also, he’s carrying a cane-sword and wears a unique trenchcoat with a hood on it). The reason that he looks different is that this is what Theo looks like post-1920 after his alleged death at the hands of Atlas. Because he has been in hiding as well as trying to undermine Atlas’s criminal empire from the shadows as “The Hooded Man,” Theodore had to change his appearance (in addition to changing his name to “Julius Knight”) to better avoid attracting Atlas’s attention. Theo was able to find work as Edmund Church’s butler using the connections of an old friend of his late mentor by the name of Donnan Ar Mason who came to St. Louis from his estate in Brittany in France. Armed with hidden weapons and Donnan at his side, Theo works to ensure the deep tunnels beyond the Lackadaisy speakeasy and its secrets are safe from Atlas as well as anyone else who seeks to plunder them……

“There is but one item linked to The Hooded Man and the secret to that he bestowed upon Atlas May. A map carved on stone known only as “The Map of the Dead.” It was found on one of the stone walls next to a carving of a large humanoid carrying offerings to a mysterious pantheon of Gods. This stone map was removed by Atlas’s workers and placed in a hidden room in Atlas’s office where he owned it until his death in 1926. The Map has not been seen since.”

If you want to find where Theodore’s treasure is, you better find the map first.

Theodore’s childhood.

“Theo was orphaned as an infant but was taken in by a mysterious woman known only as “The Blue Anchoress.” No one knew who or what she even was but all that is known of her is that she is perhaps the last surviving member of the ancient civilization that created the Monastery. The Blue Anchoress was described as a fearsome guardian who frightened away any who attempted steal from the Gods and concealed the existence of the Monastery from the outside world. Theodore remembered her fondly as a loving mother throughout his life. She taught him to be kind and generous as well as to be suspicious of those she deemed worldly. Despite this however, she reluctantly allowed Theodore to work for Atlas. Her gentleness unfortunately could not deliver Theodore from Atlas’s betrayal and died protecting Theodore in 1920.”

There already is a Wizard of Oz Jrpg. The Wizard of Oz: Beyond the Yellow Brick Road. It was released for the DS back in 2008 in Japan and was released here a year later.

The visuals were very impressive for a DS game.

It was popularly believed by the public that The Hooded Man was behind the disappearances acting on Atlas’s orders to remove the upstarts once and for all. Detectives have since been trying to figure out what exactly happened that night and the stories are true.”

“This photo of Julius Knight was taken sometime around the early 1920s. It was taken while Julius was accompanying Edmund Church to see a performance of The Mikado at The Muny in St. Louis. He certainly caught the attention of some opera goers that evening with his ornate mask that completely covered his eyes. Some people claimed to have seen the glyph on his mask move by itself as though it had a mind of its own.”
