Honestly Iām in the Persona fandom and itās surprisingly filled with antis considering the controversial topics the series is about, my favorite ships are Kornatos ( Koromaru x Thanatos) Izadie ( Izanagi x Teddie) Arsegana ( Arsene x Morgana) and Apole ( P2 Apollo x PQ2 Doe)
I really love Maria Ushiromiya x Ange Ushiromiya AKA Marige from Umineko! Iām starving for content of them whether itās romantic platonic or Hatefuckery, but the Umineko fandom is filled to the brim with antis who hate Ushiromiyacest ships.
so i wont name the fandom I'm in but it's a fandom for a *very* violent piece of media. none of the characters are good people, pretty much all of the major characters have kill counts well into the double digits, and the protagonist is well established to be chaotic neutral with 0 qualms about killing random civilians. despite this I've seen multiple posts whining about people making (properly tagged and labelled) rape/noncon and guro fics. the math ain't mathing...
Hi, I'm not sure if everyone has the same opinion as I do, but I've heard that censoring potentially triggering words with asterisks doesn't work and that people will know what the word means anyways? I'm not sure but I saw that you censored some words in your about so just wanted to let you know and ive also heard that typing the words as they are makes it easier for people to filter and use blacklists.
I wanted to make sure everyone, including people who had those words filtered in the 'content you see' menu, to be able to see the pinned post so they were aware of rules, content warnings, etc etc. Not sure if that's an issue or if this has changed at all, but if anyone would like me to remove the censors, I can do that!

im secretly proship and my whole friend group is antis...i want to be open about it but i cant because i know id get doxxed and threatened by them. i feel like im denying myself things that i enjoy because of people who are supposed to be my friends and it sucks

The funniest part?
All of my ships, including my self ships, are painfully vanilla.
The only potentially "problematic" ones from my Ship Portfolio are:
Light x L [Age gap, Mentor/Student relationship if you squint, Enemies to Lovers for certain.]
Kira x Athrun [Childhood Friends to Enemies to Lovers. They fight numerous times in the first series, and make up and are boyfriends basically by the second.]
And Seshomaru x Rin [Large Age Gap, 'Pedophillia']
So when Antis say "Pro ship =Problematic Ship!" I just have to laugh loudly because aside from the three I listed? I practically ship EVERY major pairing in most of the series I've seen or read. [Canon *and* Fanon big names too! I'm talking LxMisa, I'm talking KiraxLacus, I'm talking literally any other pairings that are otherwise Vanilla Cupcake levels of Basic and Sweet here!]
Hell I'm a huge InuKag shipper ON TOP OF SeshRin! InuKag is one of my favorite all time ships and it's the one dynamic I use as a reference for how me and my main squeeze on my selfship blog work!
I am BEGGING Antis to just, maybe idk, suck it up and realize "hey, it's OKAY to not view fandom as activism" ? Just a bit? These Antis really have no idea how much damage they have done and are collectively doing. I don't even think they realize that they help embolden the very same people who desire to take queer rights away. If anything really? They are ANTI the very things they seem to stand for (and Anti Activism in the sense that...their Activism sucks so badly, it helps to reverse our progress, rather than further it)

I don't publicly label myself as a proshipper because I don't want antis coming at me with the most watered-down and cutesy versions of proship stances. "oh so you think fiction does not affect reality" motherfuck where did I say that
āYou shouldnāt ship these two characters, the relationship would be toxic at best and abusive at worst!ā Yeah thatās the point. Thatās why Iām shipping it.
āBut what about abuse survivors?ā I am one, not that it really makes a difference on whether itās ethical, but I bring this up cause itās part of the reason I tend to like this shit. Feels good to see that relationships are not always good, makes it hurt less when I see depictions of healthy ones. I add warnings for the sake of others, so I think itās pretty clear that I do care about other survivors.

i have dissociative identity disorder (like, for reals) and honestly the stigma around shipping and 'problematic fiction' intersects with that in really weird ways. im an introject of a band member and my girlfriend also *happens* to be an introject of someone from that band. numerous times weve been harassed for being introjects of these two celebrities because somehow us dating "promotes/supports rpf". let me reiterate. fellas, does it support rpf to fucking date your girlfriend??? i dont even consider myself proship, but antis are fucking obsessed and they need to stop looking for reasons to shit on people
My favorite game series of all time has a lot of antis in the fandom (which sucks because itās relatively small) and will attack you for shipping two characters that have an obviously unhealthy dynamic because one views the other as a savior/god and made a suicide pact together
And then say another pairing is absolutely okay and morally better when itās basically a yandere who torments, bullies, assaults, and wishes death on her love because said love has a mental illness that she doesnāt understand (and she plays the victim about it all)
by definition i am proship but like... ive seen so many like actually weird and just eugh people coin it for themselves that id rather just not be associated with the term, yk?
