The idea of a camping trip was actually exciting for Areva, they’d never been camping before- at least not true camping. Her mother and sister’s idea of the girl’s camping weekend was actually renting out a full cabin that came with an entire staff in it. So no different than home, just sleeping in a strange bed at night. But she was hopeful about the camping trip, the idea of being off campus for a while and maybe meeting more people and getting to know the others. They all had one connection yet Areva barely knew any of them.

what was your relationship with manon like?

I saw a lot of good in Manon. She was fierce and loyal and wicked smart, but in the end she was also mighty and could be a snob. No one is perfect but I loved her all the same. She was a great friend and she didn’t have to be nice to me at all but she choose to- for whatever reason. I like to think I’m a little better off for meeting her.

Oh no, I wouldn’t- I couldn’t do that. Manon was something special and I’m not anywhere near that to take her crown, as you put it. I really think the only two people who come to mind that could… be like Manon are Sera or Jo.
