it was hard for raz to put into words how jarring it was , hearing nearly his own voice coming out of someone completely different . except ... with more screaming , from the looks of it . guess that’s a noteworthy difference . but still .

flower cradles the potted plant for a moment before gently placing it back upon the window sill with a pat– their blank expression never leaving Raz. For a moment they could akin their brain to their computer at home, slowly processing new information. Clearly they have absolutely NO idea what just happened–

–but at least he stuck the landing.

they perk up when the boy acknowledges them again. Doctor problem? there was no denying they had a doctor– a doctor with a LOT of problems if they may be so bold as to add– but what did that have to do with this kid? Flower slowly nods in uncertainty, before lifting their hands to sign back to Raz.

... sign language ? it isn’t something that raz is familiar with , which is evident when it takes him a moment to really process what they were saying . only afterward did it click with him , with perhaps a small amount of mind-reading to really get the gist of it . but one thing’s for sure , and that’s how he wasn’t expecting confusion , of all things . honestly , he was expecting a form of praise or something , because from what he knew , the people here were miserable , and the doctor was barely doing anything , if anything at all , to help !

❝ oh my god ... ❞ the kid isn’t even sure if he’s seeing things correctly . a walking , talking baked good ? that isn’t exactly a common sight . an arched brow immediately follows before he walks toward the cookie in question , hunching down to be relatively more level with them as he reaches out a finger . it's almost as if he needs to make sure it isn’t sort of crazy figment or something .
