I think there’s something so poetic about Ryland living under Colt and Court’s shadow his whole life and them knowing it, to Colt and Court being crushed under the shadow of Savior of the Universe, never being able to escape from the shadow Ryland left behind
So busy trying to “protect him” from their bad decisions that they fail to protect him from “the World’s First Dictator” launching him into space.
During one of the Z-team’s bar nights Mal gets to tell the team that that holy water doesn’t REALLY hurt her given she’s half human but it is spicy.
Several drunk questions later and the team is trying to find a priest at 11 at night to bless Waterboy to see if they can make him sweat holy water.
The goal is to have Mal lick Waterboy on camera and rank him on a scale of 1 to ghost pepper.

It doesn't matter how mutated Simon is or how many sharp teeth he has, Grace will stick his fingers in Simon's mouth for ~SCIENCE~ and Simon will let him.
PHM x Star Trek II
Grace shaking both Spock and Kirk’s hands. Spock actually insisted seeing as Grace was the first hand his great-grandfather shook and being half-human means his is the first human hand Grace has touched in over 200 years. Kirk sulked about not being the first to do so but he got to shake Rocky’s hand first, so he’ll forgive Spock this time.
The Enterprise crew uses Scotty to distract Rocky. Rocky is given access to a warp core. This is a problem, statement!
When Ryland reaches the bridge of the U.S.S. Enterprise, someone announces “Captain on deck!” and the entire bridge crew gives Grace and Rocky a standing ovation. Grace is quietly crying the entire time.
Grace gets kidnapped by the Romulans (because literally everyone in the galaxy wants a piece of him). Romulans mock their pacifistic former neighbors, the Eridians. (Remember, Romulans were just Vulcans who didn’t opt for reformation and instead left Vulcan and experienced genetic and cultural drift.) Cue Rocky’s inevitable crash out: “Rocky has a bomb, statement.”
Grace learns what happened to his twin brother Colt—he faked his death, cleared his name, married Jody, and had kids in the late 2020’s. Colt lived to see Sol restored and even got to meet Solkar in 2063 (A/N: damnit, I’m making myself emotional😢). Colt has over 1000 known descendants living both on Earth and in Federation colonies spanning the galaxy.
IDK why, but Chekov is given Yao’s service revolver. [Insert Chekov’s gun joke here]

I do love thinking about how Simon is probably like. The Iron Lung universes John Wick. Bro is TERRIFYING.
So with that in mind imagine some random COI or Eden soldier also gets temporarily zapped into the PHM universe and sees this relatively mild mannered guy telling Simon The Motherfucking Butcher to please help move some things to the side so they can sleep on the couch easier.
And Simon fucking LISTENS. He grumbles a little bit but he does it. And then The Guy Who Bewitches Apparently gives Edens Living Nightmare a little pat on the shoulder with a thank you when he's done.
WHAT DID THIS BLONDE HAIRED FREAK DO TO GET THE BUTCHER TO DO WHAT HE ASKS (extended friendship. Thats literally it. And they will never accept that as an answer). Grace does not have 'Scary Dog Privileges' he has fucking CERBERUS on SPEED DIAL.
The C.O.I. has a population of 257 (according to the wiki), meaning that of the 319 people they originally had, the Butcher is credited with killing 19% of your faction. And he’s being bossed around by a man wearing a cartoon cat!
PHM x Star Trek
Based on the TikTok skit I saw by @ak_iswriting. Here are my musings on how Captain Kirk from TOS could meet Captain Dr. Ryland Grace from PHM.
Both Vulcan and Erid orbit the star 40 Eridani A (Keid) and the two civilizations have known about each other even before they entered space, but due to Vulcans’ then-war-like culture and Erid’s ammonia-rich atmosphere, the two cultures rarely interacted, even after the Reformation and Vulcan’s discovery of warp speed/induction into the Federation.
When astrophage started to infect the stars, the Federation was struggling to figure out how to stop it. Meanwhile, the Eridians decided to send the ship Blip-A to Tau Ceti—as they had not yet discovered the warp drive, this process took them ~10 years (1977-1987). Due to their lack of knowledge about radiation, Rocky became the sole survivor of his crew and remained trapped in space until 2033, 12 years after Earth sent the Hail Mary.
Cannon events happen and Grace sends the Beetles back to Earth and returns with Rocky to Erid.
Due to the obvious holes in their science, the Eridians contact Vulcan with the cure. This reopens communication with the two species and Grace, leading to Starfleet being able to use the Taumeoba to cure infected stars.
Due to Grace’s already short lifespan being shortened by Erid’s 2.09 gravity (and the lack of Federation regulation), Grace is genetically modified by the Eridians, thus increasing his lifespan to resemble that of an Eridian’s (giving him ~500 additional years).
In 2063 (the year after Erid receives word that Sol has been healed), the Vulcans inform Erid and Grace that humans have achieved warp travel and first contact is being planned. Cue Grace walking Captain S’chn T’Gai Solkar through how handshakes work. It was painfully awkward for all involved.
Vulcans don’t mention to the Federation that they are in contact with the Eridians because technically that’s against the rules, given they haven’t created the warp drive yet. (It’s not like they’re helping them…officially.) Also, out of respect for Dr. Grace’s weariness of other humans, the Vulcans follow the Eridians’ lead in not mentioning Dr. Grace to humanity and the Federation at large.
Fast forward to ST: TOS (2265-69), Captain Kirk is informed that the Eridians are joining the Federation and is thrilled, as the Eridians were officially the first aliens humans came in contact with and acted as penpals with Earth since the PHM mission. Kirk remarks that it was amazing how easily Eridians communicate with humans, but isn’t surprised, given that many of them likely worked with or studied under Dr. Grace in the 21st century. Spock then drops the bomb that Dr. Grace is still alive on Erid and is going to be there to welcome Starfleet alongside Rocky and Erid’s world leaders. Kirk crashes out because Captain Dr. Ryland Grace was his hero as a kid (maybe Grace sent back videos for a few years after he left Tau Ceti to chronicle his life on Erid and the Eridians) and is promptly informed why the Vulcans haven’t made the rest of the Federation aware of his continued existence (they don’t want to piss off their Eridian neighbors by retraumatizing their already traumatized human).
This is exactly what Eva Stratt was thinking when she kidnapped him.

“The average person kidnaps 3 scientists a year" factoid is actualy just statistical error.
Eva Stratt, who lives in a boat & kidnaps several laboratories worth each day, is an outlier and should not have been counted

Friendly reminder that Simon is only that crazy for survival reasons, Grace on the—other hand—is just built that way.
Simon hears a scary noise and tries to run the opposite direction. Grace will try to befriend it (thankfully, the last time he did that it was Rocky).
PHM→IL: Speaking the Language of angels
Based on @merymeou's Rust language and @ctrl-shift-alt-9's future English ideas.
Grace and Rocky/the Eridians leave to save other stars and get sucked through a wormhole, ending up in the Iron Lung Universe. They manage to save Simon from the blood moon and patch him back together. After wading through a language barrier, he tells them of the Quiet Rapture, of Eden, and of the Iron Lung. Soon, Team Taumeoba is contacted by the C.O.I. and, with Simon acting as a translator, they can strike a deal: save what remains of humanity and find a way home.
The C.O.I. tries to take Simon, but he’s the only one who speaks both English and Runglish/Rust/wvr—plus, he’s Grace’s emotional-support space blob at this point.
Bonus points if Team Taumeoba accidentally Gaslights Eden into thinking they're angels with Simon having been forgiven his sins and chosen as the mouthpiece of the angelic host.

Simon killed the eel, looked into the eye of the pinhole god, and all he got was an angel for his troubles.
The Pinhole God & Simon
Simon paralleled the pinhole god in that the god’s ability to observe Simon’s universe destroyed all that it touched, much like how Simon’s attempts to see using the camera blasted whatever he saw with enough radiation to half-cook it.
