girl with ptsd voice: hey, so something really bad is gonna happen, right? you guys are picking up on that too, yeah? The other shoe is about to drop, I just know it.

its so annoying that the apparently only way anyone can comment about the euphemisms for sex and violence born on tiktok and youtube is to unironically defend the idea that language evolving is scary. euphemism and censorship didnt exist before the internet and anorexia was defeated in 2015 by the algorithm ig
a thing about me is i basically never notice a wig or other kind of hairpiece in tv/movies. it has to be party city territory for me to even twig it. people will complain about characters' wigs looking bad and i will nod along but there is like a 90% chance i did not notice for a second while watching. i consider this mostly a blessing.
When I was a kid watching tv was idiot coded and nerds read books, but now scrolling shortform videos is considered braindead behavior and watching tv means you're some kinda intellectual. You might think this shifting assessment of media's consumers might make readers into absolute super geniuses, but no. Only perverts read now.
everyone rightfully complains about how the r word is back in vogue now but I think the people talking about how using ChatGPT makes you a small brained lazy degenerate are getting off way too easy

great reasons for accusing students of using AI:
you're racist and think there's no way racialized students could write an essay this good
you need to decrease your class average because it's the end of the semester and you haven't met your target average
one of your TAs gave out too many As and you don't want to regrade anything
you haven't redesigned your course in years and students have gotten advice on how to write their essay from past students
you're pissed off at a student with disability accommodations for making you do extra work
you want to feel powerful
you got into a fight with your wife
you want to bond with other professors over how lazy kids are these days and swap juicy stories about students crying in your office
you want social media clout
When ur poor and ur disordered eating is a direct result of being poor and not being able to afford food that you will eat people don’t really see it as concerning in an disordered eating or mental health sense they are just like aw sucks to be poor bro 🤷♂️
if i was a soccer player i'd simply kick that ball in the goal instead of wasting everyone's time
The infamous lighthouse of Tevennec, located off the Pointe du Raz in Brittany, France.
'Girl in a magic Forest' by Sergei Lodygin, 1920s.
Do you ever think about how both Lolita and Interview with the Vampire the book involve protagonists losing the pseudo-daughter girl they long to wholly possess because they underestimated the power of community theatre
