I've already talked about it, but Sakura fans always invent a scenario completely different from the reality of the events.

So, Sakura would be a loyal Girlboss to her village, but Sasuke a violent aggressor when he tries to kill her in self-defense? She is a Konoha soldier who tries to kill the survivor of the mass massacre committed by her village without worrying about trying to understand him. Even Naruto at least tried to talk to Sasuke before acting. She is nothing but an idiotic soldier.

Also, they forget to mention that Sasuke unmasked Sakura from the beginning and that he would have killed her if kakashi had not intervened. Sasuke didn't want them to leave the village together, she was the one who did it (in part 1) and said it. Sasuke played the game, and when this noodle turned her back on her enemy, he was going to kill her.

And of course, what people are looking for the most is the video game scene, in which Sakura's non-existent dignity is safeguarded by giving her a real fight with him. Talk about living in denial! Is no one going to mention the fact that for a girl supposedly loyal to her village, she still abandoned Lee, Kiba and Sai defenseless in an enemy area.

The person who makes the edit did not include the moment when Sakura exceeded all expectations by... crying like a baby when she had an opening to kill Sasuke.

Can someone explain to me in comments why this moment is seen as SasuSaku content? All I see is a kunoichi from Konoha who attacks her old friend just because her comrades put a little pressure on her.

Where fans of Sasusaku and Sakura, see Angst and romance, I just see a girl with candy pink hair who serves as a damsel in distress.

I absolutely can not stand when people say Sakura deserved better - SHE LITERALLY GOT WHAT SHE WANTED. She's the one who chased after, obsessed over and basically annoyed the boy she wanted into getting with her, when Sasuke REPEATEDLY told her to fuck off. He could not make it clearer he was not interested and now she's miserable with a husband who couldn't care less about her and IT'S EXACTLY WHAT SHE WANTED.

It's not Sasuke's fault he was pressured into getting with her. He was literally guilt tripped about how he doesn't love her even though she apparently loves him so much (she literally tried to kill him).

One of them deserved better, and it definitely wasn't Sakura.

I just saw a guy declaring that Sasuke was abusive towards Sakura and that he doesn't deserve her... and now I want to implode because. What the hell.

First of all, Sasuke never wanted Sakura and that's something he made VERY clear to her.

The fact that she continued to pursue him shows the lack of respect she has for herself. Because she's not even trying to understand him as a person, she just loves (the idea of) him and wants to be with him, and after Sasuke makes it clear multiple times that that's not going to happen Sakura just starts to look stupid.

The fact that people call their relationship abusive has to be some kind of stupid joke. You're telling me that Sasuke trying to kill her after she tried to stab him in the back is abusive? That him not reciprocating her feelings and not being patient or kind after the tenth time is abusive? That him not treating her like his friend when they're enemies at war is abusive?

And I mean the relationship does seem abusive but from another perspective.

Who ignores the other's feelings and tries to make it about her all the time? Who ignores the other's decisions and goes on with her own actions? Who crosses the boundaries set by the other person multiple times? Who ignores the fact that the other is a independent person with a history and only tries to have him under her possession and tries to kill him when that option is no longer plausible? Mhhh.

Sasuke: I don't like you. I don't want you. What I want is for you to get away from me.

Sakura: I'm gonna try to chase you and declare my feelings over and over again hoping that my tears will convince you to stay with me.

Sasuke: Are you at least going to try to understand me as a person and my motives?

Cares immensely for him and tries to protect him at all costs. Understands that they both have a special connection and if the only way for them to be free from suffering is to die together then that's what they'll do.*

Sasuke: *The reason he wants to kill Naruto is because he is his greatest weakness. He loves him too much and he knows it. He knows that Naruto has the chance to stop him in his attempt to avenge his family. He does everything he can to protect Naruto from dying unless it is by his own hand and trying to kill him brings him great pain.*

Do you think it's funny when a male character constantly hits the same girl on the grounds that she's said something stupid?

Do you find it normal when moments are defended as acceptable under the guise of being comical by fans of that male character?

And why the hell is NaruSaku seen as a healthier ship than NaruHina and Sasusaku when they're all just as bad as each other ( although, I give credit where credit is due, Hinata and Naruto never hit each other)?

The complementary opposite of misogyny is called misandry. A woman “can” hit a man as much as she likes because she is considered to be more harmless than he is. Many men have suffered domestic violence because of their partner. Even today, many still regard the idea of a man being beaten by a woman as something funny, even though some have died as a result.

It really hit me while re-reading Sakura’s confession to Naruto how superficially she talks about him, even when she’s supposed to be expressing love.

She says she finally saw "Naruto’s true self", and that she’s like the rest of the villagers who idolize and respect Naruto for having saved the village. She loves Naruto because she saw him becoming a powerful ninja, and she seems to think this is who Naruto is deep inside. She’s like every Konoha citizen who considered Naruto worthless when he was a child, but loved him and admired him when she discovered that he had become a hero.

Her confession seems even more superficial when compared to Sasuke’s feelings about the "mischievous prankster loser"

Sasuke understands that Naruto pulling pranks on people was a way for him to create bonds with others. He knew this from the start, and it’s actually something about Naruto that touches him. Sasuke’s the one who saw who Naruto is deep inside, and he likes him this way.

But Sakura isn’t able to see this. She doesn’t understand Naruto. She doesn’t even understand why Naruto wants to save Sasuke, when even Shizune (who isn’t particularly close to him) could.

She talks about Naruto like he used to be a worthless brat who turned into a beautiful butterfly. Because she doesn’t understand his motivations, she treats him like a child: she takes actions "for Naruto’s sake", deciding that she has to kill Sasuke to protect gil, even when he explicitly told her he wasn’t motivated by the promise he made to her. She tries to manipulate him into not chasing after Sasuke, because she’s convinced Naruto does all of this for her, even after someone else TOLD HER that Naruto wasn’t doing it for her.

Overall, Sakura doesn’t love Naruto even as a friend. He’s more of someone she admires and can use as a support, but he’s not someone she sees as a full human being. She likes the idea of him. Kinda like how she feels about Sasuke, actually…

I don't know why people project so desperately hard and assume the position of fictional characters to think/act on their behalf, but you guys do know that Naruto saved Sakura...when he ran through Sasuke's killing blow, right? You do know that Kakashi spelled everything out to Naruto, right? Literally? You didn't think Naruto knew what Sasuke was doing? He didn't say anything. He didn't even glare at Sasuke. Instead, every time, he told Sasuke that he'd rather die together with him than take his life. (No, really, that's canon as the prospect of taking Sasuke's life is foreign to Naruto that he can't even imagine a world without him, so he just imagines that he's not there, as well.) So he, basically, brushed off the killing intent. Is reading too hard? He forgave Sasuke for that Orochimaru Hideout part, too, when Sasuke pummeled him into the ground and nearly killed them all before Orochimaru stopped Sasuke. Have we read a different manga? A manga in which there's some inner-Naruto that's itching to kill Sasuke over some transgressions? Forever seething for all the slights? No, that's just you, buddy.

What about the time when Sasuke wanted to leave Sakura and Kakashi in the barrier to get nuked by Obito? He was talking directly in front of Naruto at that point. Naruto didn't even frown. What about the part when he left her and Kakashi hanging up there, literally by a scroll, leaving them behind to be burnt alive in the lava? All Naruto did was try and talk to Sasuke to go back and save them. He wasn't even mildly upset. He was just begging him. Seriously, Naruto just begged Sasuke. He wasn't upset with him. Go back and read the panels right now. They might jog your wonky memory.

What about the time when Naruto nearly killed Sakura himself (twice!) when they met Orochimaru at the bridge, over Sasuke? What am I missing? Kurama baited Naruto via Sasuke's mirage to make him lose control. When has it ever done that with Sakura/Kakashi? Never? It's just something you people keep making up as Kurama reflects Naruto's heart. Funny, how shallow his feelings for Sakura are if it can't even weaponize her image to tempt Naruto? So sad? You want to go further back? Part I? You mean when Naruto left Sakura outside at Zabuza's mercy and chose to go into the mirrors to protect Sasuke? What about the part when his seal opened more and he nearly killed Haku over Sasuke? What about the part when he took Orochimaru on repeatedly (and paid the price) to step in-between Orochimaru's serpent and Sasuke? What about when he went in search of Tsunade with Jiraiya just to save Sasuke? What about the part when he was ready to take on Itachi for Sasuke? What about the part when Sasuke had to tell Naruto to protect Sakura against Gaara? You guys are aware that he took Gaara on for Sasuke, right? Should I go on? What has he done for Sakura and Kakashi that even remotely compares?

What makes you people think he'd hurt Sasuke when you consider all of the above? Naruto would take his own life if Sasuke died. That's canon. Straight from the horse's mouth, too. Has he stated anything even remotely similar to anyone else? No? Project less, please. You're not Naruto; and it's pretty much canon that Sasuke is the most important person in Naruto's life, and that never changed at any point in canon (I can even bring up Boruto: The Movie when Naruto practically screamed when Sasuke got burnt by Momoshiki; he was about to go berserk when Sasuke stopped him, and he beamed at him in reply; but I don't consider anything beyond 695 to be canon, so fuck it). Heck, he didn't even learn any ability without obsessing over him. Let it go, people. Let it go, because it's so pathetic at this point that this debate even exists. You can disagree with the character all you want, but it won't change the fact that canon Naruto's whole life revolves around Sasuke; he's metaphorically the heart of his journey. Too bad, so fucking sad? There there, someday, you'd get over it that canon Naruto would totally forgive Sasuke if he killed Sakura and Kakashi; and even if he accidentally killed Sasuke in rage, overtaken by Kurama's malice, he'd end his own life. That's canon, and Kishimoto made him say that not once, not twice, but thrice!
