Hands down, the teacher's lounge at GSU. Adrian's not shy to admit that he had the hots for at least one of the teachers there, and he's tech-savvy enough to hack the school security cameras. Yes and no. He himself longs for intimacy on a level he doesn't even quite grasp, and kisses are a bit of a gateway drug for that. If he's in a relationship and comitted, absolutely, it's kisses all day long and on every inch of skin within reach. But if it's just for the night, he'll take the kisses but he'd feel guilty about giving them out other than maybe once or twice; and he's much the same with cuddles.

He isn't stupid enough to get in close- Roman's efficient, ruthless. And there's little doubt that there's a gun in arm's reach- if the Osprey had to guess, it'd probably be something high caliber, automatic. He could survive a few shots, but sustained fire is something to be avoided at all costs; his armor's good, but he's no Dark Knight.

He is tense, every muscle quivering with rage, his very blood boiling with venom. His voice is as cold and deadly as the raptorang in his hand. And opposite him stands the very girl who he thought would understand better than anyone why he's doing this. Why he has to. Rain mingles with the blood dripping from the blade, washing away on the concrete below. Lightning streaks through the gotham night, showing the flash of icy green eyes beneath the mask, and thunder crackles in the sky, briefly drowning out the din of a city at war with itself. Always at war.

She let out a huff as she worked on disarming the bomb. Getting the panel open as she started to clip the wires correctly. Mumbling under her breath something something just as mouthy as Nightwing something. She set the tools down as they would be glitter free.
"There. Done. I'm stepping out for a smoke." Kat needed one not because of the bomb. That didn't stress her out. Other things were on her mind.
Heading out as she got outside lighting up a joint.
The rain didn't bother her. She was used to it. The cold, though. Especially snow was her biggest trigger of trauma. Thankfully, it was just becoming summer in Gotham.
"You're right and I've cussed them out several times before when they tell me to stop this life..they don't get to decide this for me..it's my choice."
"I lost my mother..my father tried to make me into something else.." She didn't go into details as her own memories were jumbled from what Harold did to her. "They were murdered in December..I found them dead.. and the fucked up thing is.. the cops blamed me for the murder..I was on the streets until my name got cleared up.." Kat just spat out really personal shit just now.
"I had to steal and I had to hook to survive..for three years until I was cleared.. you know what happened to me in those three years? Mr. Fucking Therapy.. My girlfriend and I were taken under a pimp. So if I didn't go to the corner and pick up Johns or get enough money that he felt was reasonable.. he beat the hell out of me and my girlfriend."
"Then one day..he got pissed. He made me watch as he killed her..I watched her die.. in front of me. I'm not a good person..that's what you don't get. People die.. around me. They always do.. even my brother keeps his distance from me. You should do the same."
Now she was feeling worse. Reaching into her utility belt grabbing the bottle of pills taking two of them swallowing it down. The rain soaking her hair. She should have kept her helmet on instead of just wearing her domino mask.
"I'm a lost cause..you better head inside before you get pneumonia.."
As standoffish as she'd gotten, he didn't expect her to open up the full story quite so soon; and it earned an owlish blink from the vigilante, as he stands there, absorbing the information as it comes. He's an attentive listener, at least, and as the mention of the police accusation comes in it brings one eyebrow to lift in quizzical confusion. He doesn't question it out loud, at least- Gotham's police rarely if ever are the sharpest, and the forensics are atrocious. And still she continued.
Hooking, theft, victimization, survivor's guilt, all manifested into self-loathing; and from the sound of it, her own brother certainly didn't make the situation any easier to bear. The weather didn't bother him in the slightest. Her story, though, that ate at him alive. Concern, sympathy- these were obvious, even through the hood and domino mask that sheltered him. He takes a half-step forward, his left hand clenching and unclenching as he's tempted to reach out- touch her shoulder, establish some modicum of genuine human connection. He watches, then, as she takes her medication- and he can practically feel the Bat on his shoulder, demanding he stop her, demand that if she's unfit to face her trauma then she's unfit for the cowl.... But he doesnt. He's not Batman, no matter how much he dresses himself up in his image.
When he does speak, it's quiet, soft- genuine. Human. It's not the Osprey, the vigilante that's talking to her. It's Adrian. The scared little boy who knows that fear wears a smile.
"Lost causes tend to stick together, Per. Death can take me when it earns me- but I'm not going back in without you. C'mon, I'll make up some tea."
