Domestic Vampire x Human Shenanigans 🧛

“Bite me” becomes an insider to say as a go to insult

human locking vampire out by revoking the invitation to come inside whenever they argue

vampire either being a tech genius since they develop alongside tech or still sometimes being suspicious about basic things like lightbulbs

human being a history nerd and asking vampire to invite a fellow vampire who witnessed a historical event to quench human’s thirst for knowledge

vampire cooking up long forgotten recipes from different eras for human, who loves to explore new foods

they have a habit to feed each other: vampire enjoys the scents from cooking for human and human afterwards drains some of their blood for vampire

vampire taking human to underground supernatural festivities with a little tag on them so everyone knows they are accompanied by a supernatural, like tagging a dog so no one thinks it is a stray

human always helping vampire get ready since vampire cant use a mirror (ik technically vampires can use modern mirrors but let me have this)

Working on a new story idea about Alien Elves colonizing their solar system and their Dragon Mounts getting loose on a planet and breeding with the local fauna to create new horrific genetic offshoots, which isn't helped by the local indigenous (human) interference.

This guy is an Elven Criminal (marked by a cut ear) who has been exiled to this world to serve out his sentence, and the feral little girl he finds who all the Dragons love for some reason. He doesn't like kids but she keeps following him around.

I was thinking about the parallels between Caine and the original Little Mermaid fairytale the other day [a “soulless” nonhuman creature is fixated on the human world but unable to enter it, obsesses over human artifacts, becomes self-destructively desperate to be loved by humans, fears facing an empty eternity of separation away from the humans, but fails to win their love, at a terrible cost to themselves, etc] and this set of quote animations was the result. I just really like Caine’s secret hobby.

A while ago I hosted a poll of various TADC related things I wanted to draw, and what you guys wanted to see next. I did not expect a short, informational, comic involving Theater Etiquette to come in 2nd place. So here it is!!

This was meant to be simple, but, as expected, I went waaaay overboard lol. I'm actually super happy with how it turned out! This is one of the few pieces I am actually okay with you reposting to other sites WITH CREDIT. So go ham! Spread the word! (Please do not repost to DA, because I have already posted it there)

Kinger and Scartch were two nerdy bros back then. Lil Caine being shy I did wanted to go back into past to shine the light on what kind friend group the programmers trio was. Since after Anger arc - I do want to tackle Scratch's avatar

Quiet Time

There is a specific reason behind this composition.

While the vertical format is great for smartphone screens, I also wanted to use negative space to create a distinct mood.

I believe that negative space can express a character's inner emotions. In this piece, the character is small, and the background takes up about 80% of the canvas. By drawing the character so small, I can evoke a sense of loneliness and solitude.

Another key point is the placement of the cloud shadows. I intentionally kept Caine out of the shadow. You can see the boundary between the light and the cloud shadow. I used this high contrast to make the character stand out and emphasize their presence.

Finally, let us look at Caine's angle. I purposely hid Caine's face and positioned them to show their back. If their expression were visible, this artwork would probably feel cute rather than lonely. I enjoy drawing figures from angles where you cannot see their faces. This approach leaves room for viewers to wonder what the character is thinking.
