This is inspired from a scene where Hijikata and Kondou are discussing politics matter and she excuses herself because she has no clue what they’re talking about. You can guess the rest 🤣

Hakuoki Kyoka-roku Saito CG Character Perspective

Sooooooo…. apparently there are character perspectives audio lines in the 2013 Hakuoki Kyoka-roku vita game…. which I didn’t really notice until after re-reading the translation list from where I found the TL for the ones from Zuisouroku….The format of these posts will be the same as the Zuisouroku character perspectives, and while there are less cgs with voiced dialogue, each cg has 5 lines of dialogue… with 6 cgs per guy aside from Kazama who only has 3 cgs with dialogue (i’d say huzzah for less tl work but some of these lines are quite long).

Unfortunately, I do not have access to the posting with Heisuke’s cgs from this game… *sigh* One of these days I’ll probably get motivated enough to try and figure out blog.sina to try and gain access to some of those other postings since there’s a posting with 3 tracks (of 7) for a drama that I’m missing similar to the One Inch Samurai that I really wanna have translated (in it, saito, hijikata, harada and kazama shrink due to some mysterious concoction of ishida sanyaku that was in some tea that was apparently meant for ‘waga yome’ according to a message left by the teapot it was in which saito then chose to serve after disregarding the message that is referenced on my incomplete list)…

Anyway, none of these images are mine and I took them off the tl post i found.

During today's Otomate Connect presentation, they announced the Nintendo Switch port of Toki No Kizuna, which will also include the fandiscs. This game supposedly (I haven't played the original) delves deeper into the lore of the Oni that made their debut in Hakuouki.

Scheduled for 2025. (No English translation has been announced)

This makes me happy because it’s the Hakuouki prequel, for those who don’t know. I looked at how translating for PSP and it was a Nightmare. The switch port will be a lot easier for me to work with. Well, it’ll be on my « to do » list !

I took a screenshot of my latest work for reference and it looks pretty good to me. Should I go ahead and post the full version as it is or make a clean one like most of my previous art? I’m asking for opinion on this but there’s a high possibility that I’ll just follow my guts in the end, so please don’t keep your hopes up 🥹

I drew this as a celebration for Japan’s “good husband and wife” day btw but it was already a day late by now lol

And hey this is unrelated. Have you guys heard about the Ai art thing on twitter? I just started using bluesky and planned on posting my future works there. As for twitter, if I couldn’t find the way to prevent my works from being taken(like coating the art with that “glaze” thing) then I think I’ll no longer put them there and went full Bluesky, but what about my previous works on twitter? Should I delete my works there or leave them be? This is giving a headache 😫

Happy Hakuouki’s 16th Anniversary

It’s been more than three years since I’ve known Hakuouki. Time flies.

This is one of my favorite Chizuru I’ve drawn so far!

This version is more accurate to the draft. I love how simple it looks but with the need of an outstanding congratulating text plus how unsaturated it is(my personal fav sry not sry), adding frame just feel slightly more right.

Which one do you prefer more?

His voice was cold and quiet, like a water gun of ice. Yellow-white sunlight lit his slender face and shone from the water gun that pointed at my chest.

“Run, and I will shoot you.”

*Ahem* pardon me guys. A little explanation of the festival below the cut.

To put it in the easiest way, people splash water at each other in public, or you may call it public water fight. I’m not sure of the exact reason for doing so but I guess hot weather is one of them. The festival take place around 13-15 April(the new year is the 13th though) which is the hottest month afterall. Hot, like, an inch from hell, says a Thai folk herself 🔥🔥🔥🫠

Sometimes you might find people putting powder or white clay on their face or arms, hence Hijikata is holding baby powder bottle in one of his hand. Hawaiian shirt or the flower print shirt he’s wearing is also one of the most typical Songkran fashion 🌺 Other traditional activities include pouring water onto the elders’ hands or buddha statue. The water is usually flower-floated, so I replaced the snow in the original cg with rose petals which is one of the common flower used for the activities.

For more clear picture, you can look it up on google using “Songkran” or “Songkran festival” as keywords!

Btw, he’s soaking? WHO DARE SPLASHING WATER AT THE VICE-COMMANDER???
