the womanâs voice sounds impossibly, IMPRACTICALLY distant and she blinks, ignoring the shallow BEATING of her heart in her ears. mina knows full well sheâs in shock. hell, she probably has been for DAYS now. a distant part of her still desperately clings to the idea that all of this is a dream, that any minute sheâll wake up and smell CODSWORTH cooking breakfast and nate will be at her side and shaun, SHAUN will be safe just a room away.
but that isnât the case, a louder, more HONEST part of her whispers, albeit gently.
mina SHAKES her head quickly, reholsters the pistol at her side and ignores how her fingers TREMBLE. âum, i-â another BLINK, followed by a hint of a smile. âno, iâm fine, thanks.â she declines to take another look at the WITHERED thing splattered against the concrete. âjust looking for, uh-, diamond city.â
arms cross and an eyebrow arches as the other woman is quite obviously on the verge of having a breakdown in front of her. the confusing part was that it seemed like she hadnât been used to the commonwealth and all of its HELLISH creatures set out to kill everything in sight. the wideness in her eyes and the way her chest rose and lowered with much more exertion than it would have taken to kill one feral ghoul was almost unsettling to piper.Â
â--right.â she responds as she studies her closely-- and she canât really help it. thereâs so many odd aspects to this woman from her vault jumpsuit to her lack of hardly any supplies on her. "what a coincidence, thatâs where iâm headed.â she tries gently, resting a hand against her shoulder and leading her away from the carcass so that it was out of her eyesight. âwhy donât you travel with me? it really helps to have someone watch your back out here.â the last thing she wanted was this seemingly unknowing woman to be left alone, likely to die by such a harsh way of living.
