I hate what's happened to the word "triggered" because a lot of people are Not very good at realizing when they're having a PTSD response and end up lashing out at strangers on the internet about it and even when you recognize that this is happening to someone else there is not a lot of language that can allow you to compassionately make them aware of what's happening without sounding like you're accusing them of being irrational and flipping out over nothing

If a text post makes you feel like your blood is rushing in your ears, you feel your gut drop, you get so angry you have a Physical Response, that is not normal. Do NOT respond by typing an angry comment. Take a second and breathe and ask yourself if this feeling is originating from somewhere else— is this post about a topic you find upsetting? Does it remind you of someone you have a difficult history with? Are you remembering or feeling things that don't immediately connect to the post or its contents?

It is easy quick and simple to go "OP is DANGEROUSLY WRONG and I have to tell them why RIGHT NOW" but when you're having a PTSD response you are in an altered state of mind. There is a real risk that you aren't reading the post correctly, that you've missed words or phrases or context. Leaving a comment and starting an argument with stranger is also not going to make you feel better— the reply may trigger you again, in fact, and if you were inflammatory you might have triggered the same response in the OP.

Try to take a second and breathe. You don't have to keep scrolling afterwards, some things are worth challenging, but make sure you know what's going on in your own head and the effect you might have on other people. Take care of yourself and take care of your community. And press a cool wet towel to your face it helps.

HANDRITTEN WINDINGS !

I remember trying to learn windings when I was little because I thought it was "cool" to be able to write in a "mysterious language" nobody could read.

I never really managed tho... Writing windings by hand is really annoying since, you know, it's not made for it.

This in why (and also because why not) I spend a few hours simplifying the symboles, keeping them recognizable while still making them distinguishable from each other when quickly written with a pen and paper.

And here are some help for the letters (was too lazy to do the rest but I still can if you really wan to)

I really wanted to make it as simple as possible so anyone could use the font if they wanted to ! The hands were the hardest part to figure out but I think I nailed it ;)

Some of the letters could still be simplified I guess but I didn't want to spend too much time on this stupid thing.

Also, some of the letters are quite different from the original, this is either because I wanted to make it simpler to write/draw or because they were too similar to another letter and I was afraid, when written quickly, you could mistake one for the other.

Like, for exemple, the lowercase S and W that looked too much like lowercase T and U.

The point was also to make them smaller so writing a single word doesn't take half the page :/

I'd be happy to answer any questions and, of course, this is just a suggestion ! Especially the two help images. Do whatever you want, I'm just having fun ^^

I’m kinda nervous for what happens in chapter 6/7 regarding spamtenna. Spamton saying ‘he’s never doing that again’ in chapter 3 makes me worried they will never meet again, but I have no idea why the chapter 5 Mike scene would be there if that was the case. Honestly I just don’t want to get my hopes up to be let down in the end since they might not want to program so many different branching endings for tenna, but I just don’t understand why the Mike scene is there if no conclusion!!!

there will definitely be a conclusion anon don't worry!! No conclusion is just bad writing, especially when Spamton is related so thoroughly the overarching narrative

#This is smthn ive also been anxious about tbh but your's (and some other folks') analysis have made me excited and hopeful about a-#conclusion to spamton and tenna's story #For a while a certain part of the fandom made me feel bad for liking spamtenna and their story but its nice to be reminded why-#I fell in love with these two back in june 2025 to begin with!

Okay, this might be a stupid theory I just made but one aspect I noticed is that Adult Darkners don't appear to have ever been children and Kid Darkners don't seem to be able to age. And with how both Undertale and Deltarune play with the themes of discrimination, could that be an allegory for how childhoods are robbed from others due to discrimination or how children don't get to grow up due to discrimination?

And how that all reflects Ralsei. A teen who never got to have a childhood, who doesn't even have parents. They're a teen but they can't even enjoy being a teen, they can't grow up. But Susie and Kris, they're helping them get that lost childhood back. They are allowing them to be a teen and discover who they are. Allow them to just be a normal teen. And what if they finally do get to grow up, when they discover who they are and Darkners can finally be able to grow up and have childhoods.

This also can work perfectly for an introduction to the Pipis Daughter. A Darkner who gets to have a childhood. Who gets to grow up just like any ordinary Lightner. A step closer to Darkners being equals. I think it would be cool if every Darkner came together to give it a childhood they could never have.

As a service worker, I have undeniable evidence (/jk) that Spamton was not an asshole during his time as a big shot: Swatch has nothing negative to say about that time and even called him a “valued customer”. Considering he’s willing to talk smack about modern day Spamton, he’s clearly not holding back out of professionalism. If Spamton was an asshole, the FIRST people to know would be the butlers and service staff where he lived.

Yeah! Swatch only complains about post-downfall Spamton, and the one (1) complaint he has, which his dislike of Spamton revolves around, is that Spamton tried to acquire NEO, a machine Swatch helped create and has some sentimental attachment to. He doesn't bring up any other wrongdoing or perceived wrongdoing from Spamton.

Also, something else I find interesting is that Spamton (being autistic and emotionally neglected) misread their dynamic and perceived Swatch as a friend; he says that Swatch always listened and was a "shoulder to cry on", so Swatch must've at least sometimes listened to him talk, and in some cases vent, which is enough for Spamton to get attached. Meanwhile, Swatch only describes him as having once been a valued customer, implying only a professional relationship.

And this kind of dynamic, where Spamton is misreading the situation and perceiving their relationship as closer than it is, could very easily go wrong, with Spamton (unknowingly) making Swatch uncomfortable by expecting emotional investment from him and possibly crossing some boundaries, but the lack of complaint from Swatch implies that he didn't perceive whatever he did for Spamton as being that big of a deal; he saw it either as a small favor or as just a part of his job, and he didn't mind it. (Or even if Spamton did mistakenly cross a boundary at some point, he'd stop if directly told to, so it would be clearly understood as an error and thus wouldn't be something worth complaining about years later.)

While Spamton believes Swatch had maliciously pretended to be his friend, I think Swatch had no idea how important this little bit of interpersonal attention was to Spamton; he didn't realize Spamton's standards of what counts as a substantial friendship were that low, and he probably didn't realize he needed to clarify that they weren't friends (or maybe didn't think it was too big of a deal if Spamton had thought of him that way, not recognizing how strongly attached Spamton gets, and that this could go poorly later).

The way Swatch talks about NEO, and the way that he'll stop himself from revealing its existence (and even deny that the mansion has a basement) if spoken to before the SNEO battle, strongly suggests that it's something he greatly values and doesn't want random people knowing about; he didn't tell Spamton about it either (because they weren't friends, so he wouldn't trust him with that information), Spamton found out through other means. NEO was something Swatch helped create, and if Seam is to be believed about how Lightners used to be like gods to Darkners, Spamton trying to take NEO may have been not only something that upset Swatch for personal reasons (because NEO is a personal creation of his), but may have been an act of blasphemy in his eyes. Spamton previously praying to NEO fits with this reading as well; he also clearly saw it as something holy and initially wasn't trying to take it for himself, before changing his mind.

They don't need to have been close for Swatch to hold a grudge over this. He calls Spamton a "valued customer", which, as another person pointed out, is likely the highest compliment he can give. Spamton wasn't someone Swatch felt friendship/attachment towards, but simply someone he used to highly respect (and thus used to like working for), and that's all he needed to be so disappointed when Spamton tried to take NEO.

Him only seeing Spamton as a customer and not a friend also explains why he appears to have switched his attitude pretty quickly and doesn't even attempt to understand where Spamton is coming from, and why in the end he only listens to Queen, and there's no indication that he was conflicted about it. From his end, it was just a professional relationship, so he was perfectly fine with evicting Spamton when he was no longer a wealthy paying customer and Queen ordered his eviction, and, as I said, didn't even try to understand the desperation that drove Spamton to try to take NEO and thinks of it as "a crooked salesman's twisted dreams".

People don't abandon friends or turn on them so easily. The only reason Spamton believes they were friends, or that Swatch "pretended" to be his friend, is because he has low standards for what counts as friendship (thanks Addisons), and he's deeply lonely and clings to every crumb of interpersonal attention.

There being a real mutual friendship between Swatch and Spamton would also go against Spamton's story as someone who is easily discarded by most (and only in Tenna finally found someone who truly valued him as a person), and as someone who is a victim of his circumstances. If Swatch had been a real friend and Spamton screwed up that relationship, that kinda puts the blame on him for his dire situation in Chapter 2, because it implies if he had just not tried to take NEO, Swatch might've still cared enough to help him in some way, when that's not the case.

(Not to mention Swatch profiting off of selling Spamton's old bow ties; odd thing to do if Spamton was someone he ever truly valued as a person/friend rather than as a customer/someone who paid him money for his services.)

Well! I know a lot of people don’t consider it as such but Toby did necessarily involve politics. In fact Deltarune is a lot more political than its predecessor, imo especially chapter 2 with its direct lambasting of neutral parties in the face of tyranny.

Wait, I think I figured out why Spamton expected Tenna to help him despite Tenna physically couldn't due to being stuck on a wall. I think it's a bit of a denial, that if he convinces himself as much that Tenna was this awful guy then Tenna's death wouldn't affect him so much. So he didn't question how out of character that'd be for Tenna to leave him or how Tenna physically couldn't save him, too focused on his own emotions on how Tenna promised to protect him and yet he isn't there when Spamton needs him the most because if he started to question it then he'd realised that he's losing the only good thing that has ever happened to him and that hurts way more than if Tenna just abandoned him and chose not to help him. I don't blame him, he wasn't in a good position to think rationally, being homeless and possibly hunted by the FRIENDlings.

After all, they're both similar characters who mutually enhance each other so maybe they'd use the same coping mechanisms??

Very neat interpretation!!! I had the idea that Spamton seems to feel too betrayed for it to truly be denial but tbf Tenna also felt an amount of betrayal despite spamton clearly having had no choice but to run away LOL

on the topic of disabled characters, though, i think a LOT of artists give characters mobility aids that their character wouldn't actually benefit from using.

i'm sort of having a mild brain fog moment rn so i can't fully articulate what i'm on about, but i think a lot of able-bodied artists view things like canes and crutches as interchangeable. and they often don't know enough about the wide range of mobility aids to make an informed decision about what their character might actually use based on their disability

i also think that aids like walkers and rollators are sort of viewed as "cringe" on some level, and many people view them to be "just for old people," so many artists will opt for giving a character who has full-body pain and fatigue a cane (which, in many cases, can potentially WORSEN full-body pain) instead. and a lot of people don't realize that most wheelchair users are able to walk, so they don't consider it an option for characters with chronic pain

idk it's kind of frustrating. i've genuinely never, ever seen a character that uses a rollator before. not once. i cannot name a single one. i know of multiple ocs who are described to have full-body pain, dizziness, and fatigue that are drawn as cane users and are never shown with wheelchairs or walkers, though

it's also sort of sad? i've been diagnosed since i was twelve years old, and i only heard of rollators LAST YEAR. and that was only because i saw one irl and immediately asked what it was. i wonder how many disabled people out there don't even know it's an option solely because they're completely underrepresented online and in media

if you're a creative with a disabled oc, PLEASEEE check out this link. it's a very nice and detailed guide for telling which mobility aids suit someone's needs best. it's incredibly important to make the right choice for your character! mobility aids tell you a LOT about someone's lived experience. picking the right one will communicate to your audience #1 what your character goes through #2 that you UNDERSTAND what your character goes through!
