i know i talk a lot about charlie past vday being picked up by kingsman. or by statesman. being fixed. i talk about him running his family’s business but uhm? what about charlie who just wants to fckn stay away from ALL of this?!  who severely depends on painkillers, who has NO access to the family fortune because he is presumed dead and PREFERS it that way? who works some shitty job just to make enough money to  /survive/   while also doing something where it’s pretty much ASSURED nobody he  knows  will run into him….

also can we talk about the parachute test? charlie pushing past roxy with a “oh of course you can’t. get to the back and i’ll show you how it’s done!”   he… says it like a cocky asshole but since my headcanons are my headcanons? charlie?! DISGUISING actually trying to be helpful…  with utter arrogance? a beautiful concept. because he can GENUINELY show them how it’s done and it’s actually EASIER for rox if she doesn’t /HAVE TO/ go first im… whether he meant to or not, i think he was helpful in that instance and im… idk why this makes me emotional but it does.

also… eggsy is the only one without a partner. eggsy is the one suggesting they make a circle and charlie? responds with “fuck, he’s right boys, lets do it”  :) charlie - WHO HAS A PARTNER! who doesn’t /HAVE TO BE WORRIED/ who could easily be selfish cause why give a fuck about eggsy, huh?  not his problem, right?   well he MAKES IT his problem and looks after the man who ends up wiping out his family (admittedly, not on eggsy)   and snaps his neck (very much on him!) ….   cool

during their very first test, charlie immediately took control over the situation. he tried to calm everyone down, find a solution not just for  HIMSELF   but for all the recruits. he was genuinely determined to make sure everyone was okay. he gave orders and people listened and he came up with a good solution - charlie did not selfishly just try to save himself.   he cared about the group and still, someone (SEEMINGLY)  died. a girl died. despite charlie trying his honest best. this was heavy on him.
