Home Grown Beauty...

After four long years, and a lot of time and effort, I have finally completed a portrait series that I began back in 2010. The series  began as a small shooting project while visiting my home town of Kendall, New York, but quickly became a much larger endeavor ending in 32 portraits spanning a two year period and finally becoming a coffee table book with two years of graphic design work and collaboration with Amanda Sisti. The project showcases portraits of women from the small town of Kendall, New York while exploring themes of beauty and nature. The portraits reveal the natural beauty of the women melded with the untouched beauty of the landscape. Below you can view the project and find links to purchase a copy of the project in book form.

The Coastline of Maine...

After staying a few days off the coast of Maine on Peak's Island, I traveled back to the mainland to spend some time exploring Portland & Scarborough. Portland rules. It's a small city with a lively nightlife, shopping center, and food scene. You can't go wrong with lobster rolls and sweet potato doughnuts, two delicacies I had several times while visiting. The city revolves around the proximity of the sea and you can find anything and everything sea themed, even re-purposed ship sails into tote bags. Twenty minutes south of Portland I visited Scarborough, where they have an even more quiet lifestyle and killer surf beach. Exploring and enjoying the waves and beautiful craggy coastline kept me busy and entertained for days. Visiting Maine again in 2015 is definitely on my list.

Peak's Island, Maine...

Peak's Island is one of the many islands off the coast of Maine. It is located in the Casco Bay and considered one of the calendar islands. The small island revolves around the ferry stop where you can find all the restaurants, people, and shops. Once you leave the ferry area, the island turns into a quiet and quaint residential area where everyone really does know their neighbor. Most have been coming to the island all of their lives, but few actually reside on the island year round. I spent a long weekend on the island photographing a wedding, but stayed a few extra days to enjoy the desolation of the off season and biking around the island solo. I even was there for a supermoon and some super sunsets.

The Breakers Inn, Higgins Beach, Maine...

Early in the fall I spent a week roaming and photographing around Maine. I photographed two weddings, miles of coastline, and the Breakers Inn. The Breakers Inn is located on Higgins Beach and run by Rodney. The inn has been in his family for generations and he was kind enough to invite me to stay for a few days and photograph around the inn. I spent the days exploring the beach, surfing, biking, and eating his delicious food. The week was an amazing experience and I look forward to returning in the future.

Aunt Bri...

Earlier this month I became an Aunt to a small, healthy, and very adorable baby boy. Our first brief meeting included a few photographs and lots of cute noises and baby snuggles. See you soon baby boy!

Matt & Cara's Maine Camp Inspired Wedding...

After 9 years together, Matt & Cara tied the knot in northern Maine at Alden Camps, deep in the forest next to a lake. Being that it was mid September, the weather was cool and slightly rainy, but beautiful nonetheless. The event went off without a hitch and the couple was surrounded by friends and family in the secluded woods enjoying an evening of laughter and merriment. It was a beautiful event to be a part of and I thoroughly enjoyed photographing the day as it unfolded.
