It also confirms that leftists doesn't sincerely believe in anything except what gets them clout as online activists, and the worst possible thing that could happen to your cause is that group decides to make it their whole personality.
how having to do work at your job feels
awesome that the directors are taking full advantage of the casting and having aemond and alys have a mog battle every other shot
They are doing things with cheekbones that I didn’t know were osteologically possible
fun fact about character development by the way. you can make them develop worse.
like I mean this very seriously as writing advice. the character should experience events and make decisions that make them different at the end of the story. they should be changed. they do not have to be improved.
they can get worse. they can make decisions of an increasingly terrible nature. they can stop taking risks on kindness. they can discover how much they can get away with. they can find religion, or abandon it, with negative effects on their moral creed. the character has to develop. the character does not have to grow.
When people argue that food from Chinese and Mexican restaurants in the US are not 'real' representations of that culture's cuisine ignore the historical reality that these dishes were developed by diasporic communities striving to recreate the flavors of home with available resources. Such criticism frames adaptation as a loss of authenticity, rather than recognizing it as a sincere and evolving expression of culture by people separated from their homeland.
Too good to leave in the tags

I once saw a chef judge on a cooking show scoff at a fusion cuisine dish
and then the next round was Cajun food, and without an ounce of irony he was like, I love Cajun food!
still makes me mad to think about it
this video has been the last hinge holding me together for weeks now. I need to watch it once a day or I'll start disintegrating

Why on God's good green earth are you reading a romance novel if romantic drama pisses you off? They can never break up or cheat or even look at any other human being. Also nothing bad can never happen to anybody. And it can never be focused on any other couple. The only thing it can be about is the main couple fucking and eating pancakes together and having cats.
And sometimes they don't even allowed to fuck! They can just smile at each other at the post office.
A magical squeak indeed.

religion is so fucking funny the world is just too beautiful there must be a higher entity behind all this. lets oppress women
"when you say Religion That Oppresses Women you better not mean My Religion That Oppresses Women"
I really like listening to ppls organs when I cuddle
Like y'know when you're laying on someone's chest or stomach and you start hearing the flow of fluid through their heart and the churning of their stomach and the movement of their digestive tract and the muscles recruited when they swallow
It's so intimate, and so human. Reminds me that we're flesh and blood, and that flesh and blood is a marvelous thing to be

Bacteria do have souls, but binary fission doesn’t produce new souls 99% of the time, so most single celled organisms share these sprawling souls that just get bigger every time they divide. Over time they compact down into these big mats of soul get compacted into geological layers that gradually accrete to the world soul. Sexual reproduction creates new souls but they’re much shorter lived as a result, and rarely make it into the bedrock, so most of the world spirit is from the Proterozoic.
but do viruses have souls?
No. Some people think that this is because viruses have no metabolism and can’t reproduce on their own, and therefore do not qualify as life. In fact it is just because they are too small. Pneumatons, the constituent particle of soul, have a wavelength of about 1 micrometer, and so can’t be contained in cell membranes or protein envelopes smaller than that. This also means the smallest bacteria also don’t have souls. This includes mitochondria and their immediate ancestors, which was a major impetus for their symbiosis with eukaryotes in the first place. The eukaryote cell got a source of energy, and in return the mitochondria finally got to directly apprehend a portion of divine eternity.
this is super useful information, thank you!
