In the early game phase of Dragon Quest Builders 2, they make you go through the in-game screenshot share board, and Very Quickly found screenshots that could be classified as 'going on a date with Malroth'. I knew Deep Down in my Heart that if I was 12 years old playing this game, I'd make Exactly the Same Kind of Screenshots.

(I also played as fem!Builder so I'm more inclined to that, but let's draw some masc!Builder As A Treat for Pride Month)

As you can tell, I've been a bit busy this month to where I'm only now writing up the March reflection post!

Finally have time on my hands to work on art, and I've been cleaning up old sketches. This one is Ava and Bea related!

I always had it in my head that the two girls stumbled into internet celebrity status in high school, and that's been a big strain on their relationship, especially as they enter young adulthood. At one point I pondered over the idea of Bea having a vtuber (Ava just shows her face), and doodled out this fun cat girl. I'm still on the fence on the concept, but I did have a lot of fun cleaning up the doodle.

After having put it down for months, I picked up Famicon Detective Club: Emio the Smiling Man again and finally finished the mystery. I felt compelled to draw this after that ending.

What a fascinating way to handle contrasting tones in a game and the 'how do we handle content warnings' dilemma.

I finished playing Of The Devil and there's a lot I'm rotating in my head, but a big one is 'So Detective Reyes after getting plastered sure did choose to go straight to Morgan's apartment, share a bit of her own dating history, share how she kissed a girl, ask Morgan if she has a dating profile, then pass out at her place huh'.

I would love to make some more polished fanart one day, but for now I'm busy as hell 😔

I have a full written out reflection on my public blog, but I'd like to share some links to some highlights in here!

I finished and published a short webcomic, The Secret Keeper: The Princess's Secret!

I made The Groovy Gang's Mini Guides to Civil Responsibility! Little informative zines offering advice, tips and resources on how to engage with your community and government.

I made an educational visual novel game, Witchy's Guide to Critical Reading! I've played around in Renpy before, but this is the first time I've actually finished (well, mostly finished) and published a visual novel!

I did some commissions in the later half of the year!

I recently did a comic commission for @hugegreencat, based on their Dungeon Meishi fanfic From the Start! They provided the script, and I helped turn it into a comic, as well as design the kids based on some picrew/celebrity pic references they had :>

From the Start is a Dungeon Meishi/Delicious in Dungeon post-canon fanfic featuring Laois/Kabru/Rin as a polycule (you might remember I mentioned the fic last time I drew Rin and Kabru). The comic is very much based on that world, so if you enjoyed reading DunMesh and wanna read about Kabru struggling with gender and Rin feelings while also being in a secret relationship with Laois, I highly recommend checking it out! The kids are from the fanfic's epilogue: their names are Chrysos (oldest son, Laios/Rin), Lynn (2nd oldest, Laios/Rin), and Prema (youngest, Kabru/Rin). They're all younger then their appearance in the fanfic's epilogue!
