Found @/jacksrighthand's fic Nothing Beside Remains after doing my yearly old ship tag check on ao3. An absolute delight to read, and got me revisiting rhack again! (The drawings are unrelated to the fic's story)

3rd pic : In the New tftbl, there's a scene where two Tediore soldiers hold Rhys at gunpoint at the entrance of his office. Instead of using offense or defense, Rhys charms his way out of it by inviting them for a drink and a new job offer. It got me going: Yep, he totally would try to use his youth and looks to get out of desperate situations, if needed. (All the other CEOs are at least two decades older than him)

The Ashtrays - Animatic (opening????) its an anime now Song is 9 by Dean Blunt I dont usually storyboard but this song struck a chord (bars) In The Ashtrays the government's ruled by bands, and Samson happens to be the president's son. Samson struggles to adapt to the new change in his life, but musters up the courage to perform anyway.

also quick explanation im... kinda done with posting nsfw stuff i feel like it was defining my art in a hypersexual way... and i realize i dont want kids stumbling onto my artwork and seeing nothing but nsfw. part of the reason why i deleted my twitter. i get nsfw gets likes, but i want to make something with more substance than that. unfortunately that means my core following is associated with that and it's probably the reason for the drastic fall off in my posts, but id rather be authentic than post what's expected of me. there's more to life than nsfw. biggest lesson ive ever learned. lol not really but still. i want to tell a story thats accessible to everyone

i believe the more you draw something the more you chase after it in real life, either subconsciously or consciously. so i want to at least make artwork that's true to what i truly want. so that's kind of why i started writing The Ashtrays. I think i had issues with depicting "straight" relationships. partially because i thought they were built on misogyny. then i actually got into a "straight" relationship and that's exactly what i got irl. what if there was a story that subverted those expectations? one where there was substance and genuine connection between two people? not built on sex or conventional values but showing up for them in the ways that you can? what parts of you can show someone else that they were meant to be here all along? yea... but anyway real talk im kinda glad i flew under the radar because the people that genuinely like my stuff will resonate with it more. i want to water that seed. anyway
