Ball lightning on railway
This is exactly what the ball lightning looked like when I saw it across from my driveway as a kid. It was about the size of a beach ball and jerked around 3 feet off the ground at walking speed. It was bright like a welding torch but not hot bc it didn’t burn anything. Not even little twigs. No sign of it afterward other than the smell of ozone. I saw it move through trees like in this video. It had a low noise like a microwave but also crackled like a bonfire. Occurred directly over ultra?maphic clay soil (as opposed to paved asphalt driveways on either side) and the path of the ball lightning ran parallel to the driveways, never crossing them. It was also about 300 feet above the groundwater of the Hillsboro aquifer, too, since someone mentioned groundwater in another post
