I just bought my dog a nandog dog toy from their tuff love collection. He’s a puppy so he ripped into it fairly quickly. I went to pick up a piece he ripped off and what happened? I got stabbed with a piece of needle like metal.

You heard me right, metal in their toys.

It was a jumbo ball on rope toy.

I feel so bad knowing my dog could get that ripping into his mouth or worse, his innards, and I’m glad we caught it right away.

Nik used to loved these simple missions, stealth and flirtatious skills he mastered always put to the test. He has it to a science now, can evaluate a person from afar, plan out what to use against them before having whatever he needed. Recently, it wasn’t as satisfying as it has been. He would rather be doing something more interesting. These are rookie missions.

The night was lively, ignorant people all around him dancing with each other. Nikolai took a drink in his hands as his eyes surveyed the man. Why he had to bring him in, he had no clue, but questioning wasn’t something he cared to do. The spy figured why not do something he different. Get caught.

Nik wasn’t really hiding his stares, nor did he cover up that he followed the man outside. He walked behind the man, making sure to others, it seemed normal. This was something that was going to be interesting.

Atlas could almost feel the others gravity behind him, sure he'd already pinpointed how far he was behind him and, shrugging his shoulders forward he turned down and alley and quickly started running.  He'd have to distract the man trailing him somehow, not wanting to reveal his powers when he was out in public.

Pushing over a couple of trash bins to hopefully save himself a couple of seconds he only used a small push of gravity as he jumped to grab onto a fire escape ladder.  He quickly started to ascend before taking a quick second to glance back, hoping the man wouldn't be right behind him.

Steve understood that, actually. The lack of sleep was something he knew well. After all the time he spent in the ice he’d found himself with quite the case of insomnia. Some nights he went wandering through the city. Other nights? He spent it awake in his apartment reading, drawing or just catching up on the things he’d missed. “Well, I normally don’t trust people I just met but I’m willing to give this a try. It beats sitting in my apartment awake all night,” he told him, offering the other something akin to an honest smile. Though if they did end up finding some sort of trouble he knew that he could get them out of it. He just hoped they wouldn’t find any trouble. After New York and DC he’d had enough trouble to last a lifetime. Or at least a few months where he could enjoy the city and not worry about finding someone who needed his help. “You’re lucky I was out and about in the city. Most nights I tend to spend it alone. But this is definitely better and I will say I agree with you.”

"Oh, I know I'm lucky. To be able to say that I've personally met and hung out with Capt. America, not to anybody in particular seeing as how I don't know how to keep friends, but just to be able to say something that cool... it's surreal."  The mutant smiled, laughing gently as the pair stepped out of the bar.  He shivered a bit adjusting to the weather outside but he knew he'd get past it eventually.  "Now, this place would be difficult for most people to get access to but luckily for you I can easily get us there."  He smirked as he started towards the secret location, knowing that it would reveal who he was but wanting to keep it hidden for now he hoped that the hero would play along.  He'd always admired the work of true heroes, aspiring to be just like them but knowing it was a far reach from where he currently was in his life.  "But enough about that... I want to know more about you, the real you, not what people see in the newspapers or tabloids.  What are your passions, what makes you laugh... what do you fear?"

Dean figured that would be his answer. Though in truth it didn’t help him much. “I don’t ever stay in one place for too long. Tends to cause problems if I do.” Raising a brow his eyes widened as he wondered what his last comment meant. “Excuse me?” Dean questioned. “Never fit in with society? What’s that supposed to mean?” Dean of course had a reason not to fit in but this guy looked totally ‘normal’. 

"Ah you don’t have to pay for drinks." Dean waved him off though he’d already paid so he knew that the statement was a moot point. "A ride is hardly helping out." Besides Dean wasn’t sure how far he’d get tonight. That was one thing that remained to be seen.

"Just because I don't have to pay for drinks doesn't mean I'm not going to. You're helping me out even if you dont think so, so I figure I might as well repay the favor. Money's no issue." The mutant replied with a wider smile. "And yes, I know that I may not look the type but I don't quite fit in anywhere and after getting kicked out of my house when I was a teenager I've never had a stable home life."

Atlas shrugged and smiled as the shots were dropped off, giving the bartender another bill.  "My whole life I was always smarter than kids my age and now... well I'm not being facetious when I say that I can easily perform mathematic equations faster than most computers."  He smiled, hoping that the man would be happy with the half truth for now while also hoping that he wouldn't have to delve deeper into his actual abilities.  "I'm sorry... I ramble when I drink and I'm not normally so self-centered or arrogant.  Might be overcompensating for how I lack the ability to truly trust others but it might also be what tends to drive people away."

   Thank Christ no one was really out at this hour, at least not on this block. Everyone’s attention was on the main streets such ad Bourbon street and cared little for these back roads, which was fine, otherwise this little floating trip wouldn’t be nearly as tranquil.

   He also noticed, now that he was a little more alert, that Atlas was avoiding any talk whatsoever on relationships, be it his wild confession about Cameron, or his lame throw-in about flirtations with either sex.

   “So, it’s like telekinesis on steroids,” he muttered.

     "Telekinesis is much more... fluid, I think.  Where a telekinetic is using their mental power to fuel their powers my powers are much more mathematic."  The brunette laughed gently.  "When I was little I would read math textbooks and almost absorb the equations... my mind grew faster than my body, perhaps, but I was always grades ahead of people.  I felt like an outcast since I started school, already being able to read and write, perform algebra and trigonometry."

     Atlas shook his head.  "All this is probably really boring to you but I feel like it's necessary to explain my background before I let you really know who I am."  The mutant shrugged with a smile.  "I've already shown you my powers, might as well invest it all.  We're going to be friends so you should probably know that my past has led me to make some terrible decisions."  He paused, slowing their speed as he brought them back to the ground.  "I'm not a good person."
