That toothy grin immediately turned into a frown, and Black Hat took a moment to step back and really take in the situation.
“You idiot!” he growled as his eyes fell back to Flug. Sure, the other was rather good at inventing things, but he never really seemed to think them through. “At this rate it’s going to ruin my house!”
Vines attempted to curl around his leg, though the ends were cut in the blink of an eye. Sharp claws had torn through black gloves, and Black Hat remained still for a moment as he let his anger simmer.
“Flug, if you don’t find a way to fix this, I’m–” threat was interrupted as the vines seemed to grow a little aggressive, as they had looped around Black Hat’s ankles. The eldritch abomination was now hanging upside-down, his hat somehow managing to remain in place as vines slowly curled around him.
Nothing was said, though he made sure Flug could feel him glaring daggers. Certainly, the being could easily take care of the situation, but that required a certain amount of effort. That, and it was much more fun to watch the doctor struggle.
Flug jumps and flinches when the insult is hurled at him. Well, he deserved that one- this was pretty stupid. He gulps loudly as the dead, shriveling tendrils fell to the ground and were quickly regrown and replaced.
At least it was the plant and not him.
“Yes- Yes sir! Sorry sir!” he yelps, waving his hands frantically. “I’ll- I’ll think of some-” he’s cut off with another gasp, eyes darting up. Its... really hard not to laugh seeing black hat dangling like that. Luckily the bag did a good job of hiding a grin.
“I- uh- Was considering subduing it with fire, unfortunately there’s no real guarantee it’ll work. And its pretty likely it’d spread over the entirety of the mansion and destroy everything.
“I could also work on a weedkiller but- well, sir, that takes time, and this grows very.... VERY fast, as you can see.” He swallows, gesturing to the plant that Black Hat was obviously already very familiar with.
