Crested Caracara being allopreened by two Black Vultures! This is such an interesting behavior and one that's typically one-way (preening by vultures to caracara). Here you can see the caracara either attempting to reciprocate but getting rebuffed by both vultures, or telling them to stop for now.

I highly recommend everyone go buy a cheap box of crayons and a cheap coloring book (though pay attention to the paper quality because that can make or break it) and go to fucking town.
Just fucking color.
Tear your eyes away from a computer screen for an hour and color a page.
Doesn't have to look good. You don't have to make "good" color choices. Just go nuts.
If you don't like it, then at most you wasted ten bucks and a hour of your time.
Seriously, though, pay attention to the quality of the paper. That greyish brownish textured paper a lot of coloring books have is gross. Make sure it's clean white and smooth-ish paper. It takes the color of crayons way better.
You can get a pack of 48 crayons for less than three bucks at walmart.
You can get the same dinosaur coloring book I've been using for three bucks at walmart.
Most walmarts carry these things in store, so you don't need to order them.
For six dollars, you can go nuts coloring dinosaurs fun colors. You could even spend less, if you get a smaller pack of crayons.
One of my mutuals often makes posts talking about how important it is to have a physical creative hobby. I would scoff and shake my head when I saw those posts because a lot of the hobbies I wanted to do are just not accessible.
Lots of physical creative hobbies take skill that I don't have and don't have the patience to learn. Lots cost a ton of money. Lots are physically demanding in ways I can't handle.
Coloring with crayons is none of those things, at least for me.
Crayons are readily available at a lot of different stores, as are coloring books. They're very cheap. They take 0 skill to do. As long as you can hold a crayon, you can color.
Why crayons, you might ask.
Crayons are cheap, last a very long time, aren't very messy, and don't need maintenance. Colored pencils and various types of markers may have better results, but pencils need sharpening and markers can be messy and dry out. If you want to use a tool other than crayons, please feel free to! Crayons are the best tool for me but I'm certainly not bashing other options.
Now, maybe you already have a creative hobby. Maybe you already make things with your hands. But ask yourself... Do you feel pressure to do that hobby well?
Coloring pages are freeing. You can fuck them up. They don't have to be perfect. So even if you already have creative endeavors, consider that having one that is potentially lower pressure could be beneficial.
So I urge you, next time you're out shopping or making an online order, consider grabbing some crayons and a coloring book.
Maybe you'll hate it but, again, you'll only have wasted less than ten bucks and an hour of your time.
And maybe you'll love it and suddenly you'll find yourself with a thousand crayons in your house.
Either way, it's worth a shot.
