Opposites in Rooming (Closed - Kanji)

….Huh. Judging from the awe-struck reaction such a simple spell - his weakest spell - warranted from the other, it seemed that him not knowing of what a Comet Mage was had been genuine, at least. Not that it lowered his current guard any, of course: but it did help him to piece together things. So: either this world didn’t have such varied magic for Comet Magic to not be known: or the other actually WASN’T lying. He was still wary about the other one being true. When the other questioned how hung up he was about ‘lying’, he scoffed. “I just got yanked out of my classroom away from my work, and the people I know, I think me being suspicious is only fair given the current circumstances!” Of course, Klug didn’t know he was only proving the others inner suspicion about him being freaked out behind the unapproachable mask probably correct, there.
….an offer for food? What, was he going to be a poisoning case now? Still, if the other really wanted to poison him, offering him food that was their own leftovers hardly seemed the most sensible manner of doing so. Still wary and clutching his spell book tight, the boy walked further in, but with small, tentative, edging sort of walking that made it evident of his wariness.
kanji shrugged at his roommate’s words, “yeah, guess you’re right. i wouldn’t mind not bein’ questioned like a damn criminal though, just sayin’. i was yanked away from my friends too...” he didn’t think the shorter teen would suddenly believe him this time around, so the last part was said more to himself. it really was hard being alone here, but he had to prove to his senpai that he could make it through this (or they’d never let him hear the end of it)!
the blonde gestured awkwardly toward the spare bedroom as soon as they reached it, his other hand fidgeting with the hem of his uniform jacket. boy, was he glad that he hadn’t decorated the room with any of his plush creations yet, that would’ve been embarrassing to explain...
“uhh, i’m gonna go warm up your food while you get settled, that book's gotta be annoying to carry around,” he was already off to the kitchen just a moment later, more than happy to get out of that situation for a minute or two. talking definitely wasn’t his strong suit, especially when it came to defending himself.
“oh, and don’t forget to wash your friggin’ hands! germs are no joke!”
