Being asexual and racist is embarassing as fuck. Being racist at all is obviously embarassing as fuck but the amount of racism and especially antiblackness i have been seeing from asexuals recently is obscene.
One of the only asexual activists is Yasmin Benoit, a Black woman. She has raised so much awareness for the community. She was the first asexual person to lead Pride in London, she started the #thisiswhatasexuallookslike movement and is THE leading voice for the community.
And you all will celebrate international asexuality day on April 6th but we wouldn't even have that if she hadn't cofounded it.

I know this has been said before but a lot of you are pissing me off so I'm going to say it again.
Being alterhuman does not mean you have some ~special ability~ to interact with wild animals.
DO NOT go touching/chasing/ generally messing with wildlife. You aren't special and you could harm those animals, or be harmed by them. Even small things like bugs can kill you. You aren't immune to rabies.
If you scare wild animals by chasing them for species euphoria or whatever, you can genuinly kill them. Birders have a term for when it happens to birds, its called a Dread Flight. When you unnecessarily scare a wild animal, you are causing it to waste energy it needs to survive. Wildlife can't afford to waste energy. You're enjoyment is NEVER worth disturbing wildlife.
You do not have the training to rescue wild animals just because you're alterhuman. If you don't have the actual training to resue wildlife and you genuinely find an animal in need of help, CALL A FUCKING WILDLIFE REHABILITATION CENTER!!!! It isn't that hard to find the number for your local center and they'll tell you what to do, if anything, and help you if necessary.
I'm so sick of seeing alterhumans online think they can interact with wildife willy nilly just because they're alterhuman. Please fucking stop.

The US Government is currently trying to pass an incredibly dangerous national law for trans youth called HR 2616.
This bill would ban all Federally funded schools from teaching about gender identity or sexual orientation, prevent teachers from using the correct pronouns and names for trans students, remove books with any trans representation in them, and even go as far as to prevent teachers from acknowledging trans identity AT ALL.
Any school that does not follow this will lose all federal funding. This bill would also require teachers to forcibly out trans students to their families, which would be fatal to any trans student with a transphobic Family or just hateful family in general. Trans people are already a group that already has some of the highest rates of being victim to suicide, domestic violence, and sexual assault.
This bill actively makes teachers put those innocent children at such a big risk. This bill has rapidly passed the house this week with support from all 209 republicans, as well as 8 democrats. But, it's still being voted on in the senate, which means there is still time to help stop this.
To help stop this, you can visit 5calls.org (look up 2616 in the search bar), one of the most top issues filed Oppose Attacks on LGBTQ+ Students. Once you put in your general location, it will pull-up contact information for your senator, and give you a script for calling them.
If you are a minor and/or do not feel comfortable doing this, PLEASE repost this on here, or any other platform you are on/can find! This needs to be heard and fought against.
Human kids should be allowed to act like animals even if it turns out they aren't actually therianthropes. Let the kids connect with their bodies and move in ways that aren't so restricted.
Stop saying alterhuman when you mean nonhuman. In that post asking what gear alterhumans would want, you really should have just said nonhuman. Gear is a nonhuman-focused thing. Plural folks aren't out here getting gear for their alterhumanity, you know?
K, so this "ask" is very wrong in every way.

Not all alterhumans identify as nonhuman and not all nonhumans identify as alterhuman. Ex. someone who is dog-hearted may not identify as nonhuman. Ex. a system member who was never human in any way (except being in a human vessel/body/etc) may not identify as alterhuman.
Gear is not an alterhuman focused thing. There are things such as furry gear, workout gear, etc. Gear is literally anything that helps you with something and doesn't belong only to one specific group.
Plural systems do sometimes get gear. I get clown stuff/gear for my clown system member, and I know other systems who get gear for their members. There are also some posts I've seen online of systems creating or buying gear for their member(s) whether it be for alterhuman or species/item/etc confirming reasons.
Some of y'all need to do research on other people's experiences before you hit send. /gen

PLURALITY IS NOT INHERENTLY ALTERHUMANITY OR NONHUMAN
While plurality is not common in humans, it is not inhuman/nonhuman/alterhuman/etc.
I've seen so many people (all to my knowledge are non-plural) say plurality is a type of alterhumanity/nonhumanity, but that is not true. While yes, some headmates are alterhuman, that doesn't make all plurality a part of alterhumanity.
Just because something is atypical or unusual for humanity, it doesn't automatically make it alterhuman. For instance, being intersex (both biologically male and female) is not typical for humans, that doesn't make it alterhuman.
Even though the definition of alterhumanity is experiencing something non-typical of the human experience, that doesn't mean everything atypical to the human experience is alterhuman. Some things are uncommon (like plurality), and other things are atypical (such as otherkinity).
By saying plurality is a type of alterhumanity, you are forcing the idea that everyone who is plural is alterhuman, which, of course, isn't true.

The term for when you replace nouns for body part names. (Ex, nails to claws, hair to fur, teeth to fangs, hands to paws, etc)

2. When a person says their body is that of XYZ because their internal view of themself is XYZ. "Because I identify as XYZ, that means I have the body of XYZ even if I am not biologically XYZ."
This used to be "physically (insert identity)", but now that people are referring to their biology as physically, so some people have talked about creating a term to create a difference between "internal view = what my body is" vs "biological perception". This was mainly on Therian Guide, but I will never go back after all of the pro-zoophile relationship stuff I saw there (mainly on Discord, but it was still approved in the community).
There may or may not yet be an official term for this, but I have heard talk about it. It's also a type of philosophy, not an identity like therianthropy or zoanthropy, but a way to express how one views themself.

I need alterhumans (and furries) to get less weird about pet-play-style masks NOW!!!! They arent inherently sexual, and they can be just as intricate and beautiful as fursuits or therian-style masks.
My absolute favorite maker is Grungebunny. They make all sorts of canines and rabbits, and they’re starting work on feline masks! All of the below are just some of their premade designs, but they also do customs.
There are so many more makers of these kinds of masks and endless styles to choose from. In my opinion, these masks are more comfortable to wear than therian style masks and they alleviate my species dysphoria more. Especially since they cover more area than therian masks do.
I highly highly recommend looking into these if you are in the need of a mask that full covers your face but is less expensive than a fursuit-style head.
