What is trauma? “It wasn’t enough, “Others have it worse! “I’m not valid” Perhaps trauma is Doubt.

Never feeling safe again. Hypervigilance, Paranoia, Flashbacks, Nightmares, Are all these things “trauma”?

All it takes is minutes. Minutes to change a life. An assault, a death, an injury. Some trauma occurs over years, some lasts only moments.

What is trauma?

Trauma is the acid I throw up. Trauma is the blood covering my walls and floors. Trauma is the fear in my eyes. Trauma is the air being knocked out of my lungs.

TRAUMA is the wound that never stops bleeding.
