this second arc of csm is dreary in a way the first one wasnt. no fanfare can ever outweigh the lows. it only gets worse, it gets worse. denji becomes a more complete and better person as the world around him atrophies. he gets taken to the aging devils world and is like "whatever." asa and yoru bounce between highs and lows. asa constantly hates herself and her existence. the devil hunters are trying to save the world and they can barely be happy. everyone is going insane as the world is ending and all anyone can muster is half entertained smiles. we've seen this before. the world ending isnt even scary or exciting anymore. everyones bored and depressed. everyone wants to be chainsaw man, everyone hates chainsaw man. its a really fascinating direction the story has gone
