My love. I can die happy knowing you feel the same way for me as I do you. The fates have brought you to me as my saving grace. I know they have. I know what this relationship could mean to your career but you are the love of my life.

You are my everything. My moon, my sun, my stars. Your smile, your flesh, you light up my life. If only I was not locked in this damn prison. Oh, I know its not a prison but i can not freely hold your hand or brush a stray hair from your face while I am locked in this god forsaken room.
I saw the way that awful Earp man stared at you when he came in. I won’t tell him anything. No matter what he does.
Lydia, my love, my Lydia.

I knew the moment I saw you that you were the one. My One, I want you. Help me get out of here and we can be together forever. I know a way. I failed Samedi once but not again, I could do it, I know. We could hold each other. Don’t you want that?
I love you with all my heart.

I have much to tell you. I saw that Earp man whispering lies in your delicate little ears. Please, let me tell you what really happened. As you know, I lost my family and I was desperate and alone. I travelled around these United States searching for a way to bring them back to me. In New Orleans I heard of a loa who could bring them back. When I summoned him I met a man, a tall handsome man who told me he could bring them back to me if I did one little favor. I was so desperate I said yes without asking any questions. Samedi wanted me to kill Theodore Roosevelt. A President! I was shocked but I wanted them back so badly I agreed. As I took aim in Wisconsin and his damned speech stopped the bullet, Samedi came to me in jail and mocked me. I begged him to bring them back anyways but he only laughed at me. That was the last time I saw him.
Until I had you, I had no reason to live. You are my everything.
I love you my dearest,
- John
