What‘s it like to live with migraine, epilepsy and depression all at the same time:
-School not taking any of my illnesses serious
-random bruising when I wake up ( did I have a micro seizure in my sleep and hit my legs on my wall? Is it because of my low magnesium and iron? Or am I possessed? That‘s a secret I don‘t know the answer to)
-are my headaches from my migraine or from my medication?
- you‘re medication being the main factor why your depression worsened a lot but also not being able to get off of the medication because it has the least serious side effects
- forgetting which medication you have to take when, which you already did take or how much you already took because, again, memory loss
-your chronic illnesses not being taken serious because they are invisible
-being tired all of the time because of you‘re depression, meds AND migraine (I‘m suffering)
-ppl thinking you can‘t do anything alone or go out alone because „what if you have a seizure??“ (honestly it‘s so tiring to be treated like a child all of the time)
-feeling guilty that ppl had to help you after you had a bad seizure (seriously I still feel bad that they had to go through that all although I know that I am not responsible for having a seizure)
-random bumps on your head or scars over your body from falling while having a seizure
- not being able to enjoy the summer because of the sun but also in winter when the sun get‘s reflected on the snow
I really just wanted to get it out of me once but also, don‘t dismiss someone’s illness just because you can‘t see it from outside. It‘s still fucking hard to live with.
@ all of my sisters, brothers, and nb pals who also struggle with these things, I send you all the energy I have because I know that it is hard man but we‘ll get through it :)
