I don't really like how Cass turned out in this; I originally had her in front of Bruce, but she literally just looked like a decapitated head, so I drew her separately and then kind of tried to paste her in, but didn't turn out quite the way I had hoped.

Day 46 of A Doodle a Day is World Hippo Day, which is celebrated to raise awareness about the plight of these extraordinary semi-aquatic giants. There are approximately 115,000 to 130,000 Common Hippos in the wild, which might sound like a lot, but it's a 7% to 20% decease over the last 20 years. The smaller Pygmy Hippo is listed as endangered on the IUCN's Red List of Threatened Species, with experts estimating that there are no more than 3000 Pygmy Hippos left in the wild.
