TERA MELOS TIDBITS #6

This time its content from The Apparatus forum (aka Grinding the Apparatus), which hosted the first official Tera Melos forum in the late 00s. The rest of The Apparatus was more of a tech metal forum (think Psyopus) best known for its Mecha Organa compilations, making TM somewhat off an odd fit, however their board was one of if not the most active. There was also a really cool MS Paint banner image with original art by Nick for the board that I could not find sadly.

A thread by Nick. IIRC the gist of the post was laying out TM's actual influences vs. what forum posters were saying the band sounded like (Braid, Piglet).

Apparently there were plans to do an animated music video using Nick's art that never came to fruition.

I saved this because I thought it was funny. Don't recall if the band members responded or not.

Top: In his video “Walls, Floors, & Ceilings Part 3“, youtube.com user “UncommentatedPannen“ presents the discovery of a small invisible wall in a tunnel in the Tall, Tall Mountain slide in Super Mario 64. He then posits that this wall could have been a sign with a left-pointing arrow during the game’s development.

Bottom: After extensive research, I have found video evidence that confirms this theory. A video recorded of a beta version of Super Mario 64 shows this exact tunnel, and it has a left arrow sign in the precise spot where the invisible wall is in the finished game. (Source)
