And they're absolutely specifically pushing it, make no mistake. It's not just a matter of "it's there, it's convenient, so people are going to take the path of the least resistance", but it is a legitimate and concerted effort on the part of these companies to get people to outsource all these things to their models.

They're preying on insecurities to do it. Yes, you can write an essay - but can you write a good essay, they ask you. Do you not want to improve your output? Do you not want people to think of you as competent and very clever? Why go through the mortifying process of failing and failing and failing until you succeed if you can just skip the "learning" part of doing, and simply generate a ready-made product?

I'm preaching to the choir here obviously but it's a concerning thing to witness nonetheless. My kid is 6 next week and I've been teaching her that failing at things is morally neutral and in fact necessary even before the advent of AI, but it's becoming ever more important that we teach the kids that criticism and failure and discomfort aren't necessarily bad things, but just a part of the growth process.

What interesting architecture. One-of-a-kind 1991 home in Valley Center, CA designed by architect Kendrick Bangs Kellogg. 5bds, 4ba, 4,133sqft, reduced $300k to $2.695m (Zillow's est.: $2,604,500)

I know that there're glass walls, but it's so open.

Look at the unique fireplace going right through a glass ceiling.

Isn't this unique? It's the kitchen.

A completely round kitchen- round cabinets & walls.

Look at the way they pieced the countertops, to fit the curves.

In addition to the kitchen table, there's a dining area over here.

The family room has a nice view and access to the terrace that surrounds the home.

The primary bedroom has stone walls and a matching fireplace.

It also has a desk area.

Even the ensuite is round. The tiles are a pretty color, too.

Wow, it looks like that desk is wedged right in there.

Such minimalism. Not even a few chairs on the deck. Looks like there's built-in bench, though.

The house was also featured in "Architectural Digest."

When I read that this house has an atrium, I was wondering where, b/c it's only 1 floor. The 2004 home in Carmichael, CA has 3bds, 3ba, 2,840sqft and is lovely. Asking $850k (Zillow's est.: $838,800).

The front door opens to a kitchen on the left and living room on the right.

The kitchen is very big, and features a large square island, niches, and built-in shelving. While the walls are painted blue, the cabinets are gray with beige counters. Double doors open to the atrium.

And, this is the atrium. It's a beautiful room. They have a dining table in here, but I'd like it better as a sunroom.

This is a large family room with a wall of built-ins.

Look at the interesting built-in feature wall behind the bed. It's a purple room with a blue ceiling and has double doors to the patio.

And, look at the unusual ensuite.

The large shower has a "quilted" tile.

The secondary bedroom is a good size.

And, it has a 3pc. ensuite.

The 3rd bd. is also nice, and is just used for some seating.

The 3rd ba. is a shower room.

Even the zigzag pool and patio are unusual.

Alongside the house there's a cute little footbridge and a koi pond.

In this corner of the yard there's a hot tub.

Looks like a firepit here.

There's a lot of room to park and a 2 car garage. 0.29 acre lot.
