I can’t even imagine the pain you would have to go through as a wizard. In a world where magic is given, whether by birth or by song or by the gods you worship or the gods you don’t, imagine the strength it would take to spit in their face and Learn. The length and breadth of your power is the ink in your hands and the dust in your hair and the pages of your spell book sewn together and it is infinite. You have memorised so many spells and transcribed even more. At the end of your long rests you take a step back, look at your friends who were granted their magic and you think “they have not carried this brand of pain. I hope they never have to.” You were judged by the gods and found unworthy, you remade yourself in the spellcaster’s image and they told you that you were sullied but hey, at least the flimsy paper book you carry with you has meaning. Or something like that.

I had an old t-shirt which was worn out around the shoulders so I cut the sleeves off and refinished the armholes.

This is the first of five panels of a project I'm doing for my girlfriend's upcoming birthday. Each panel is going to have a symbol of a story from our relationship and a quote about sapphic love.

The rings in this panel represent a joke from before we ever got together. I only like the lemon and orange starbursts and they only like the strawberry and cherry ones, so we said we should be "platonic starburst wives."

My life has been a nightmare from a craft perspectively lately but I did go to the ren faire for the first time! The skirt, the flower crown, and the wings were all made by me, though the wings were painted by my girlfriend.
