Hi, so this is gonna be an introduction to the main stories I'm working on and the characters you'll see here! But first just a little info about me.
My name is Jayden, I go by JayJay or Jay. I'm a been (genuinely use whatever pronouns you want for me, just not she/her, thank you) who's been writing stories probably since I was about nine after a writing task in an English lesson.
I tend to write a lot of fantasy stuff (in fact most if not all of my stories have fantasy elements, magic is fun). My writing is far from perfect (although, whose is?), but to me learning and improving is just part of the fun :3
The Recognised
A story about children of Greek Deities. The main character Linda finds out she's a demigoddess from her best friend, and she gets pulled into the mythology world. The children live at Briarwood Academy, to the mortal world this is a private school located in the middle of the Briar Woods (hence the name) where the students excel at studies and athletics. In reality: It's the only safe place for demichildren, since when their powers start surfacing or they reach 13, monsters can start to sense them.
There's a lot of characters in this world, so I'll save you the trouble of reading all their names. The main ones are: Linda, Chrystal, Sloane, Brian and Kylie, but there are others.
Jump First, Panic Later.
Nox, someone who can jump between worlds, adapting to survive and gaining powers to relate to each world if needed. They make friends (and enemies) everywhere they go, but when things get serious, they recruit their friends to stop what's coming. These friends are: Damien, Arid, Elowen, Caelum, Zia and Maren. Oh and Bloop. Nox's travelling companion for as long as they can remember, a creature that takes on the form of the most common animal for whatever world he's in.
Caged (title is a WIP)
I tend to view this one as like Divergent x Nimona vibes. The world has a hierarchy, Magic Wielders at the top, Humans at the bottom. When a Magic Wielder realises they have magic, it's law that they reveal themselves at the next Collection Ceremony, to move to the city and learn their place and what their magic can do to help society. Panella (the MC) learned when she turned 6 that was a Shapeshifer, but kept it hidden for nearly 12 years, until she was discovered and dragged to the city. Then there's her instructor Cassian (age 20). Born and raised in the city, been shifting since he was 10.
