I love these! It’s genuinely funny how you incorporated the sign right into the song lyric, and you chose a super popular song so most everyone can should the joke. I appreciate your humor and the simplicity of this piece.
This I love! I love how you incorporated the words into the sign. That was really creative and overall really entertaining! Good job! When I saw this it really caught my eye especially with the humor!

I love that you chose clothing (and your own body, for that matter) as your platform. I think calling it a conversation piece is a great way to describe it, as it definitely stands out thanks to its size and vibrance. Something in me struggles with the shortening of “why” and “be” - but those are minor grievances at best and I find this piece really successful.
I really love the idea that you used clothes! I feel you were able to express yourself way more by using yourself as the canvas! Great job! I would not change anything about this!
motion as meditation
Love the fluidity of all of these dance and martial art Gifs. You can tell that the person finds gracefulness and fluidity calming. As most of us should, it helps our minds to watch one solid line of motion, instead of a jagged, unfinished line of motion.
I really love the rustic oldies feel to all your gifs! I really enjoyed these and I think you did a really good job!

4d performance
After looking at other Artist’s work, such as Marina Abramovic and Yoko Ono, I was overwhelmed by the vulnerability of the artist’s in the moment. I recorded myself sleeping throughout the night because it is when I am most vulnerable. The performance is the act of posting it on tumblr.
Way to open yourself up to the project. Such a cool original idea. I have always been curious about how I sleep at night. I applaud you for going outside your comfort zone.
This was a really good idea. You are most vulnerable when you sleep and even though you can't control what you do in your sleep I think you did a very good job!
PROJECT #3 - VANISHING AND BECOMING
The idea was to create a one-minute video art piece that focuses on abstraction, duration, light, and sound. I recorded the light shinning on my kitchen table as it was passing through a glass of water on the tabletop. I edited the video in Adobe Premiere Pro. The color was added during the editing process. I wanted the heavier hits to have more saturation in the right places. The video was captured on iPhone 6s Plus. I do not own the rights to the featured music. The music heard is from the intro to Pink Floyd’s “TIME” from their record Dark Side of the Moon.
I love stuff like this that captures light moving in an abstracted way. Good work with the timing, as well. I think the video might have been more effective for me if you picked a lesser known song, but that might be in part because I’ve listened to that album so many times.

Beautiful use of color. I like the music that goes with it. And the shape of the water reflections almost look like guitar strings in itself.
I really like this idea of shining a light through glass! It came out really good! I couldn't figure out what you were shining the light through until I read your statement! Way cool!

MODULE 4 Reading
Short essay by Rosalee Gildberg This reading was really informative. I like the fact that performance art is seen as a form of expression and how it involves the public because that is a window into the art world. I also appreciated the history of performance art because it showed how it came to be and it is a great way of getting people involved in it.

Projection: Vanishing and Becoming by Sean Cubitt
This reading was difficult to read but when I grasped somewhat of an understanding I was able to appreciate this art. I really enjoyed the examples that were providing and love the playing with light and shadows. With the content provided in this article I was motivated to try and make some of my own. I really like the fact of drawing shadows on the wall of what is observed and playing with all the different lighting sources seems challenging but would be worth it when the project is completed.

Chapter 6 Time and Motion in Making Art: Form and Meaning by Terry Barrett
This chapter touched on all aspects of motion art. I feel motion art is very important because it brings the audience in and its not a drawing. More things can be expressed when playing with time and motion and expressing yourself with moving picture.
Artist Statement for GIFs
This project was really challenging for me because there are so many aspects in trying to make a seamless GIF. I enjoyed this project because it tested my boundaries and challenged me. I liked my overall result and will continue to try and work on GIFs to see all the great things I can create.
