I love how homelike Inuyasha looks when he doesn’t wear the suikan from his fire rat robe. Here is Inu in a dad moment with a 4-5 y/o Hoshiki. Comics take a while to get done, meanwhile I work in the next one, I love to make simple scenes like this for Tiny Miracle. ❤

Recently I got notified about someone plagiarizing one of my fanarts:

This is not a tracing from my drawing. It’s a complete repaint over my drawing, as the “copy” does even have the same flaws from my lineart.

Or cases like this, people copying entirely my drawings to make the same image with other characters (WARNING NSFW): MY ILLUSTRATION - THE COPY.

A lot of people does have the idea that fanarts doesn’t have “rights” to not be copied, cause these are based in other’s works. But that’s not true. There are a lot of time and effort invested in good fanart. It’s not simply “tracing” an original work. It’s reinvent something based in that idea with your own style.

That idea about images in the internet are for public use is bullshit. You don’t have the right to simply take these and reuse as yours. There’s not merit in copying entirely the work from other people and make it pass as your own. You must contact owners first. And in the case that you don’t get a response (cause sometimes the owner never appears again) but you still want to do something based in the work made by other people, you must give credit to the original creator, even if it’s gone. ALWAYS.
