Shadow of the Colossus Meets DayZ?

I very rarely write about Kickstarter games on here, but when Sophia posted about it I knew I had too. This ambitious project is trying to combine game play from some of my favourite games Shadow of the Colossus, Deus Ex, DayZ, and BloodBorne.

Prey for the Gods promises battles with giants, a survival system with a day/night cycle, tight BloodBorne style controls, and a frozen wasteland to explore. You can check out all the information and some early game play videos / screenshots over on Kickstarter. They’re currently sitting at just over 100k of a 300k goal with 29 days left of the campaign.

The Playstation Store has a bunch of Square Enix games on sale this week–including Parasite Eve! The PS Classic is now $2.99. I will champion Parasite Eve forever, so I hope some of you take advantage of this sale to try it out. - Stacey

While the games might be taking a break this year, a new Assassin’s Creed comic series is coming in September. The comics, Last Descendants: Locus, serves as a tie-in for the upcoming YA book series also titled Last Descendants. Surprisingly, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate’s Evie and Henry are all over the covers after they were absent from most of the actual game’s marketing. 

Based on the description at Comics Alliance, the series seems to follow an new character named Tommy with no mention of Evie and Henry, but I love these covers. You can read more about the upcoming series at Comics Alliance. - Stacey
