Freshly dyed sheep run in view of the highway near Bathgate, Scotland. The sheep farmer has been dying his sheep with a nontoxic dye since 2007 to entertain passing motorists.
totally…
this some alice in wonderland bullshit
Yes and no. Yet I really want one so I can do parlor tricks at my own tea house. thehareandthecrow

100% New Wool three ply natural black recycled from a Falcarragh sweater. There are sparse whisps of white spun into this, giving the black a subtle texture.
Crochet cat. These things are addicting to make.
In front of my shop...
#westknits comes to Paris to hang and knit. Always a good time.

I’m starting to love blocking as much as weaving in the ends of a project. Knitting isn’t as relaxing for me as it was in the past but I am finding the process of knitting a project and getting through the stages more rewarding. Now I can go work on my pleasure crochet project without any guilt. My work #knitting is done!
100% wool lace weight recycled from a J Crew men’s sweater.
Fascinating and inspiring. Eyeing a few very old sweaters I have and I see them in a new light. :) Thanks, gridjunky for the inspiration.
Picked up my Giverny shawl. I've decided to make it massive so when I'm knitting on the couch I can wrap myself up. Feeling slightly frustrated with my knitting lately. I have a lot of work knitting to do and feel like I haven't knit for myself in ages. I guess it's going on seven years now since I opened my yarn and tea shop. You know... Yarn shop owners don't knit as much as you think they do. It's really frustrating and paradoxical. I hadn't touched my crochet shawl in months and just last week my sister wanted to learn to crochet so I pulled Giverny out again to give it a go. It's the first thing I've worked on in the last few months that has really made me happy. Sign I need a vacation? More like sign of me being stressed. Hopefully the stress will pass soon and I'll be able to find a happy balance in my knitting again.
100% Wool double (fingering) strand in a desaturated mint green. The original sweater was a women’s v-neck by J Crew. The native gauge was slightly tighter than a worsted.
I’ve omitted pictures of the washing process this time around. see some of my previous yarn recycling photo essays if you want to see that part of the process.
Totally into this.

Back from my holidays with a freshly cast off scarf and tan lines. Back to Paris where it's bleary and cold already. Bring on #knitting season, y'all!
