Me and my friend have been playing around with ideas for a De Blob 3 (What Blob fan hasn’t tbh) and I’d like to share and indulge you with some of my ideas :>

Instead of taking place on Raydia again, I thought it would be interesting if Blob was accidentally thrown across the universe to the inkie’s home planet, where over the course of the game Blob is trying to find his way home. While on the INKT home world he accidentally gains a strange new ability: Ink powers/some sort of ink corruption.

He can still change color, but ink doesn’t hurt him anymore…or at least not how it used to. Blob is now much stronger and much more reckless as a result. It might even be some kind of ink corruption that keeps getting worse as you play through the game. It also might hurt blob if he uses too much of his “colored ink” power, so he only uses it when necessary. Blob at full ink corruption might transform him into a powerful ink monster worse than De Blot. 🤔

Not long after Blob gains his new abilities, he runs into De Blot! Blot is revealed to have survived and escaped home from the events of De Blob DS. On his home world, he is treated as a monster and an outcast, believing that if he can somehow help Blob get home, he could retrieve his tech on Raydia and reverse the effects of the experiment that transformed him into De Blot in the first place.

Mix this into some strange mysterious galactic trouble brewing on the INKT home world, and you’ve got a pretty fan-fic esque sequel. Oh, and Comrade Black would return…somehow. Maybe as the ORIGINAL Comrade Black as it’s implied in the games that inkies are clones/robots…
