take a shot each time you need to google a word in a philosophy book and the meaning adds poetry, dead before midnight
learning a lot about men on the dash today
Just saying but the negative aspects of capitalism is literally what is holding the world back from being sustainable. The only reason we don’t have safe drinking water, shelter, food, medicine, education, and clean energy for every person on this earth is because it wouldn’t be profitable for the 0.1% of the world’s population whose entire income is based solely around limiting those resources for lower class and impoverished people.
Autistic people sometimes struggle with apologizing, because they're never taught how to do it the right way.
When autistic people are taught how to apologize, they're often taught that the sincerity of the apology is determined by how well they can hide their disability.
Not enough eye contact = insincere apology
Struggling to phrase it = insincere apology
Wrong tone = insincere apology
Asking questions to figure out how to prevent doing it again = insincere apology (and "arguing" or "making excuses")
Meanwhile, neurotypical people can continue their patterns while still being considered sincere by these standards.
Here is a jellyfish made by me :)
hi, a lot of you need a perspective reset
the average human lifespan globally is 70+ years
taking the threshold of adulthood as 18, you are likely to spend at least 52 years as a fully grown adult
at the age of 30 you have lived less than one quarter of your adult life (12/52 years)
'middle age' is typically considered to be between 45-65
it is extremely common to switch careers, start new relationships, emigrate, go to college for the first or second time, or make other life-changing decisions in middle age
it's wild that I even have to spell it out, but older adults (60+) still have social lives and hobbies and interests.
you can still date when you get old. you can still fuck. you can still learn new skills, be fashionable, be competitive. you can still gossip, you can still travel, you can still read. you can still transition. you can still come out.
young doesn't mean peaked. you're inexperienced in your 20s! you're still learning and practicing! you're developing social skills and muscle memory that will last decades!
there are a million things to do in the world, and they don't vanish overnight because an imaginary number gets too big
im 16 but i get this like the adults in my life r always so sad "you're in your prime!" NO!!! There is no such thing as a "prime", humans are constantly evolving, a sense of self is not meant to be solid! You should be ever changing, ever fluid, ever improving! Just because you're an adult doesn't mean you stop living!!!
"im going dollmode" i say before collapsing limply into the chair and staring blankly into the distance with my mouth slightly agape, completely unresponsive
literally me this morning after watching the Monster 2023 movie omd
I need the free! fandom to come back to life bcs I'm getting back into it, and I need people to yap to
I watched like 2 episodes of it 3 years ago and lwk forgot about it... after exams i'll have all the time in the world !!

Aristotle, a student of Plato, was a prolific philosopher and scientist who made significant contributions to various fields. Here are some of his key ideas:
Metaphysics:
* Substance and Form: Aristotle believed that all things are composed of matter (hyle) and form (morphe). Form gives matter its specific nature and purpose.
* Four Causes: He identified four causes that explain the existence of things: material cause, formal cause, efficient cause, and final cause.
* The Unmoved Mover: Aristotle proposed the existence of an unmoved mover, a pure actuality that is the source of all motion and change in the universe.
Logic:
* Syllogistic Logic: Aristotle developed a system of deductive logic known as syllogistic logic, which involves making inferences based on premises.
* Categorical Propositions: He identified four types of categorical propositions: universal affirmative, universal negative, particular affirmative, and particular negative.
Ethics:
* Virtue Ethics: Aristotle emphasized the importance of virtue, which he defined as a mean between two extremes.
* Eudaimonia: He believed that the ultimate goal of human life is eudaimonia, often translated as "happiness" or "flourishing."
Politics:
* The Ideal State: Aristotle discussed the ideal state in his work "Politics." He favored a mixed constitution that combines elements of monarchy, aristocracy, and democracy.
* The Role of the Citizen: He believed that citizens should participate in the political life of their city-state.
Natural Philosophy (Science):
* Empirical Observation: Aristotle emphasized the importance of empirical observation and experimentation in understanding the natural world.
* Teleology: He believed that natural objects have inherent purposes or goals.
Aristotle's ideas have had a profound impact on Western thought and continue to be studied and debated today. His works have influenced philosophy, science, logic, ethics, and politics.

both.
Loving someone like a playwright loves an actor. Like an author loves a character. Like an oracle loves a hero. You play the part so beautifully, my love, incredible in the way you fall into my plans and give me control, whether you mean to or not.
throwing up this is hauntingly beautiful
i find myself resonating with this phrase a lot of the time
