It is such a hopeless feeling to see someone who is a dear friend, who you care so deeply about living with a constant threat on their life and not be able to help.
It has been 3 years of genocide in Gaza, and people like my friend @mohdayesh are still trapped in Gaza with no escape from their treacherous daily life.
Mohammed's wife is pregnant and to this day dealing with the pain of having a bullet lodged in her chest. And Mohammed is bearing the responsibility of trying to keep his family taken care of to the best of his abilities with the limited resources he can get his hands on.
Mohammad and I often spoke of his desires to start a life for himself and his wife outside of the war zone, away from the genocide, where they can finally have a taste of safety and security. There is nothing more that I want than the ability to snap a finger and help him achieve their dreams, but unfortunately that's not within my power. All I can do is plead with you to help.
Mod'd is my friend and someone I've been working with for the past 3 years to ensure that you can trust where your money is going and weed out harmful actors taking advantage of the crisis in Gaza. And he has worked tirelessly to that end. He often doesn't ask for help for himself because he wants to see others thrive, but now he has a wife and a child on the way and he can't sit and watch as they suffer in this genocide.

Okay but genuinely even with my blog being reinstated I don't forgive staff and I don't want to stop talking about how antiblack and transmisogynistic they have been to me. They flagged my specific reblog of a post as mature, it's literally just Black people. This has happened multiple times but this is the most glaring instance of it. They marked @regresstrogen (my other blog) as mature; as soon as I started reblogging pictures of Black people there too. I have been outright called slurs and threatened countless times on this blog alone (I have used this account for less than a year) and every time it has taken them at VERY least 3–4 months to delete the post (or reply). Not even the blog, the post. And that's if they respond at all, which they usually don't. I have to type 200+ characters on a report to explain why calling me the N slur is bad only to not get a fucking response 80% of the time. Come wait with me on the latest instance here. 3–4 months?? They can nuke a trans or Black woman 10+ times in a fraction of that time.
Speaking of nukes, I received a termination email for "explicit content" after I had already deactivated this blog. It's not as bad as a regular nuke because I at least got to get my blog back with the new restoration feature, but the absurdity of it all just makes me feel so jaded. The fact that that's even possible and that they did it to a Black tgirl in an already vulnerable place (hence why she deactivated to begin with). They literally beat on my corpse because they wanted to make sure I know how much they hate me. I guess all those Black people I reblogged really got on their nerves. Literally tested a picture of my hand in my drafts. Got flagged as explicit immediately. I should be allowed to kill people with my sexually explicit bare hands.

I can confirm that most birds have a detectable amount of wiring behind the eyes - blinking lights and buttons and sliders and frizzy things that spark and chirp and beep. They also have a lot of soul that can communicate with ours because the programming is fairly compatible. Vultures are clever and curious, swans are clear and lawful, chickens have a lot of personality, caged parrots are dissociated and disinherited and frankly worrying, falconry-trained birds of prey are tremendously businesslike.
And owls are absolutely lovely beasts with their own irreplaceable validity. but they are basically stuffed with polyester fiberfill. They have one button, like a child's toy dinosaur that opens and closes its mouth when you press the back of its head. And it isn't even a sophisticated electronic button it's just a lever that rocks back and forth to make the claws open and close. I think they may have actually evolved independently from sponges. Their skulls simply exist to create holes that funnel sound and light, and as a place to hang a giant hinged beak. An owl is just an empty tube like a windchime that the wind whistles through, and you can drop meat down it. They use the meat to generate feathers, and then emit the bones in pressed little packages like those machines that flatten a penny and stamp it with the logo of a theme park. I think that's the gist of it - most birds are electronics of varying levels of sophistication, but owls are just a system of levers and pulleys. No elevator music in those skulls, just the wind echoing through empty caverns of slightly irritating design. Absolutely fantastic.
I kept forgetting my nighttime antidepressant so I set an alarm where the sound was a recording of me saying "HEY. TAKE YOUR FUCKING PILL" because I thought it would be funny. It was funny about three times, and then it started making me mad and I'd dismiss it right away to make it stop. So I handed my phone to my partner, who made another recording sweetly saying "Okay Shira, it's time to take your medication" and now I don't get mad anymore and I take my pill. The "compassion over punishment" camp has gotta get something wrong one of these days
So the thing is boobs really do be jiggling. If having breasts has taught me anything it is that the ladies frolic.
