"But it's not FOR them!!!" The biggest military power in the world belongs to a christofascist nation overseen by a felon found guilty of 34 federal crimes and has greenlit a gestapo with more direct funding than the entire military of Canada for the purpose of ethnic cleansing. Let Hetero Jessica throw some biodegradable glitter at a municipal parade
At this point if anyone is trying to exclude anyone benignly pro-queer from a pro-queer space I'm just going to assume you're a fed or something idk like something something destabilize the movement from within or whatever
someone please remind me that seeing a single spider on my ceiling is not a cause for alarm and that it is okay to have in my house
I love characters who would die for each other but will not, under any circumstances, communicate a single honest feeling.
logically I Know it's an irrational thought to have but it still irritates me to no end when stuff that's super popular gets the exact intended emotional reaction out of me
me, with tears in my eyes: how will I ever recover. I fell for it, like some kind of The Masses

I’m really happy that Ryland Grace is seen by so many people as aroace because he’s not the stereotype that normally gets headcannoned as areoace. He’s not robotic and instead he’s allowed to feel emotions in their fullest spectrum. He’s allowed to have passions and deep friendships with others without there being a push for romance. He’s not lesser for not having a partner or considered innocent or naive. He’s allowed to be himself in its fullest form and that is accepted without question. Ryland Grace is a great person who is whole.
Veil of Shadows 月鳞绮纪 | Episode 3
There's something about Wen Ning kneeling to apologize for everything that went wrong, and Wei Wuxian kneeling down with him as if to say nothing is your fault that isn't also my fault. Either we'll stand together or we'll kneel together.
They are the secret third thing.
Jin Zixuan does not die at Qiongqi Way.
Jin Zixuan lives, because A-Jie has two younger brothers who get into trouble, and she has made them each carry a stack of various healing talismans since childhood. Jin Zixuan lives because A-Jie has always worried for her family, so she gave her husband the same talismans to keep in his robes.
One of those talismans activated as Jin Zixuan lay choking on his own blood in the dust, using the last dregs of his spiritual energy. Its spell sedated his body and slowed his life processes, gave him thirteen minutes to cling to life instead of thirty seconds. Just long enough for a second party of cultivators, Jiang Cheng included, to find the aftermath of the massacre and its single survivor. Inspection of the remarkable talisman proves Jiang Cheng right- the design is Wei Wuxian's. He doesn't know whether to laugh or scream.
Wei Wuxian, however indirectly, nearly kills and manages to save the life of Jin Zixuan. He does not save his own. The slaughter of several hundred Jin and the nephew of the Chief Cultivator is grounds enough for Jin Guangshan to call for his blood.
In the end, Jiang Cheng does not need to kill his brother because of Jin Zixuan. He watches Wei Wuxian fall to his demise, instead, because Jiang Cheng felt A-Jie slump dead in his arms, and she has a husband who still lies unconscious and an infant son waiting for her to come home. Jiang Cheng leaves a broken Lan Wangji at the cliff edge, refuses to look back, look down. Hanguang-Jun may be the one waiting for Wei Wuxian to return, but Jiang Cheng cannot afford to join him. There is family now he needs to protect for the future. The ghost of Wei Wuxian is a regret of the past.
In the days he waits for Jin Zixuan to wake up, Jiang Cheng scours the ravine below and tucks Chenqing into his belt anyway.
the hottest thing a guy can be is barely conscious on the floor while someone lifts his head up by the hair so that you can see his glazed out eyes and the blood running down his face

Jiang Cheng yanks Jin Zixuan by his robes, pushing him against one of the tent posts, holding him there. Their faces are mere inches apart, so that Jiang Cheng can feel his shaky exhale. “You are not worthy of my sister,” he snarls. He hopes every syllable sinks in like a dagger.
Jin Zixuan tilts his head. “And you’re the one who’s yelling at me, Jiang-zongzhu.” He says the title like it’s derogatory. “How can you call my conduct improper when you’ve clearly sunk to my level?” His eyes are dark, so dark in the lantern-light as his gaze bores into Jiang Cheng. He’s suddenly acutely aware of how close they’re standing, of his forearm across Jin Zixuan’s shoulders.
Ta-da! My Chengxuan mess is complete. Initially I didn’t intend to write anything for this rarepair, but almost 9k words later I wound up with this.

writing is just sitting in front of a computer and making up problems for imaginary people while ignoring your own. fun and casual hobby.
Wen Ning - to selfishness
There are secrets Wen Ning keeps, somewhere next to his undead heart. Things like cursed objects that can never be unleashed upon the world, and they are, to him. Not that it ever shows. The only monster people see in Wen Ning lies in his too-black eyes, the dark streaks of veins trailing across pale skin, and not the one beneath the surface. The one that, unlike the rest of him, stems entirely from being pathetically, predictably human.
Wen Ning has three secrets. The first is that he is in love with Wei Wuxian.
Well, he’s not sure if that’s a secret anymore. It lines all his actions, silhouettes his movements, so painfully obvious to Wen Ning despite willing himself not to let it show any more than it already has. Everything he has done for Wei Wuxian- whether it was committing treason or merely bringing him food these days- feels like Wen Ning is screaming a confession he can’t help, and it is only due to fate and circumstance that Wei Wuxian has not heard him.
It’s not Wei Wuxian’s fault. He has forever had his eyes on other people, who are more honorable and more respected than Wen Ning, and he gets it. He wouldn’t give himself a second glance, either, if fate had granted him the laugh of a quick-flowing creek, and a smile that is the sun after a storm, and a sense of bravery and kindness and good torn from a book of poetry. So here Wen Ning is, always in the background, with this love he holds close with nowhere for it to go.

the thing about ningxian during the burial mounds era is that to wei wuxian their relationship is a nice friends-with-benefits/something in-between type deal, but to wen ning they’ve been living in a monsterfucking tragedy
thinking about this again because I was mentally debating whether or not wei wuxian would consider himself a monsterfucker, specifically with regards to being with wen ning. I would say his answer is ‘no, of course not, wen ning isn’t a monster he’s a person and my friend why would you think of him like that’, but meanwhile wen ning himself is standing off to the side in a little corner of self-loathing nodding and going 'yeah he’s a monsterfucker’
would y'all forgive me if i started sharing years-old snippets of mdzs wips i just refound and am never gonna finish
