Hiii! The anon who asked to write about this here, I did it :>
In their few days of life, Omelet hadn't done a lot, yet it was so much to them; getting a name and a lot of food, all delicious, though they could only just finish it, feeling very sleepy afterward.
And now was another day, which meant another quest with parent, which would be great! Just like the other quests!
Until they were told it was something called a dungeon. Or, a place that sounded scary, a place full of monsters to fight, even if it meant getting things.
Now, Omelet didn't mind danger, of course they didn't! They're a tough little egg! But… maybe they were a little nervous as they looked at parent before quickly writing on their sign, handwriting a little messy, but still quite legible, 'Are you sure we'll be safe?'
Parent looked at them after reading the sign, bending down to their height, which wasn't very tall. Omelet was just a little egg, after all.
"I'm sure it'll be an easy one, just stick with me, okay?" parent reassured, smiling.
Omelet nodded, if parent said it was easy, then it had to be! Parent hadn't been wrong yet!
And, because it was so easy, they ran ahead, eager to find everything they could. They were safe, like parent said, so running ahead was okay!
Soon, parent called Omelet, and they ran over. Parent had found a chest! And there was armor inside! Parent gave them all the armor, though had to help them get it on.
Omelet scrawled a quick 'thank you!' on a sign, before running around the room happily. They had armor! Armor that clunked together as they ran! They had to be doubly or even triply safe now!
The dungeon had turned out to be easy, parent was right! Omelet could see the exit now, and ran towards it, happy that they'd done a dungeon now.
There was a hissing noise then, and as Omelet turned to look, parent was suddenly in front of them, shoving them away a bit as a loud boom echoed in the room, along with chunks of rock and dust being thrown into the air.
Omelet coughed, looking for parent, what had happened? Parent said they'd be safe! Then what was that??
They saw parent, laying on the ground, not moving a lot, aside from crawling. Omelet ran towards parent, and tried to pick them up, when another hiss came from behind and then another boom echoed as Omelet was thrown forward a considerable amount, their chestplate cracking as they landed on the ground.
Omelet coughed on the dust in the air, struggling out of the remnants of their chestplate, which they left on the ground as they ran over to parent again, picking them up quickly.
They left the dungeon now, looking around the whole way out for one of the hissing creatures, which parent said were called creepers.
Omelet thought parent said they'd be safe! It was supposed to be easy! Did parent lie?
Or maybe, parent just didn't know. Maybe parent didn't know everything, just like Omelet didn't know things. Parent knew a lot of things, but maybe not all things.
Maybe Omelet had to know the things parent didn't?
They didn't know really, but Omelet didn't think more about that once they got home, parent tucking them in and saying goodnight.
Omelet scrawled a quick 'goodnight!' before soon falling asleep, far away from the hissing creepers and their booms, dreaming of things much nicer than those.
