I remember posting this on the AFI subreddit on reddit. I think I just asked, "Wonder who did this hairstyle for him," and everyone was so pissed off at me in the comments. It makes me laugh now, but bothers me from an etiquette perspective.

I remember when I discovered AFI. Probably around the age of 12. I remember seeing a lot of hate comments about him being gay and I always thought, "Why are people so interested in the personal lives of someone they don't know? Why do you care? If you like the music, why don't you just enjoy that?" Even if he is gay/anything else, why should that matter or be of concern to anyone who's not even romantically involved with him? It's not like you can't live your life how you want to because of the sexuality of others.

I think some men are jealous of other men's beauty, so they say stupid things about them. Couldn't imagine doing that to someone.

I was subscribed to D's Substack for a year and it was so lovely to read (honestly, and sorry to say so, his novel Pop Kids was just not it compared to the way he writes on Substack. It felt like that book was literally not even spellchecked because that is not how he writes). I watch a lot of old interviews and love hearing where he got his inspiration from for all of his looks over the years. Snapcase, The Germs, Angry Samoans, etc.

I find myself feeling inspired by different artists not for my hair or clothing style, but for the way I play drums. I really like post hardcore, nu metal, some emo stuff that I really jammed in high school. Playing an instrument over the last year and a half has changed the way that I listen to music. And it's very exciting to me! You start to become kind of like...prescient with how something is about to sound, even if you aren't familiar with a new artist/artist that is new to you in the genres you like. I fucking love music. Other than lifting weights, it's my most important coping skill.

I refuse to be harassed on my own page. So, you're blocked. You can't be serious. Don't approach me as though I am acting to harm you when I don't even know who you are or your specific Pinterest account (I don't pay attention to usernames or interact with users on sites so much. I don't get traffic here, really, but that's not an issue to me. I'm not using any website literally to steal from anyone or hurt anyone).

Don't comment at me and misgender me. Do you think that makes you cool? It's actually disgusting. I deal with racism and enough prejudice irl. If you had said something along the lines of, "Hey, those photos are mine. Would you mind giving me credit?" I would gladly have done so. Or if YOU yourself took the photos I posted, I would have understood you being upset about not receiving credit (but again, even if that were the case, my intentions posting photos was NEVER to be rude, harmful, unfair to you/whatever stupid thing you think I am trying to do). That is equivalent to me getting butt hurt that I posted a photo I did not even take on Reddit and found that someone reposted it on Facebook. Stop. You do not own every photo of Davey Havok.

I have simply HAD it with people approaching me rudely, online or off. I do not go out of my way to be fucking rude to others. You decided to do that to me. You're blocked.
