Hi! I'm Quantum, I'm 17 years old and in year 11. I'm planning on majoring in theoretical physics in university and minoring in either maths or some form of engineering. I'm currently taking physics, maths methods and specialist maths. I'm also doing a Cert III VET course in game programming I'm from Australia! I use it/its or he/him and I am genderless.

I'm hoping to meet other 2SLGBTQIA+ physicists, mathematicians and engineers but I'll happily follow those of all branches of academia (doesn't have to be science, I heavily respect humanities and arts students as well! Art and science coincide more often than most realise).

I just heard a strange disagreement between coworkers regarding what "clean" smells like in the context of a building/room. So here's a random poll, because now I'm curious.

What scent(s) do you consider "clean" smells?

Straight Cleaning Chemicals (Unscented Bleach/Lysol/etc)

Clean Linen

Citrus (Grapefruit/Orange/Lemon/Lime)

Went to my course played around in Unity and followed the tutorials that were posted for our class to do

Asked the other member of our pair about what we're doing for our game and figured more stuff out for it

6.10.25 (its technically 7.10.25 for me but i felt too exhausted to make yesterdays post)

Wrote down some more slides on my physics slideshows, didnt get as far as I wanted to, but thats fine

Looked through my old maths notes and reminded myself how to do some topics

Started research for this months Personal Curriculum

Started writing another short story, only got up to 132 words but I like the writing style I'm using for this one.

Didn't feel too good, thats why I'm making the post a little later than usual. I'm feeling mostly better now though!

Did a lot of physics work (took notes + practice questions)

Read through the beginner guide to Evennia and started writing down some concepts of what might be put into the MUD

Brushed my hair out because it was started to get slightly matted

Slow day but I wasn't feeling very well and was almost out of spoons. That is why brushing my hair is in the list of productive things I did today, I feel it was an actual accomplishment to do with the lack of energy I felt in my whole body. I hope to do more tomorrow, and actually hopefully finish, if not come close to finishing the waves powerpoint for physics. After that, I will do all the practice questions then move on to the nuclear physics powerpoint.

Wrote down all the topics for maths methods that I need to review and practice for end of year exams

Finished the first 5 topics of said list

Took some more notes for physics

Went to my course catch up meeting and finished everything I needed to finish which took up most of my day

Pretty good day, got a lot done. A lot of the work for my course was about privacy policies so it was very tedious and boring but I got it done then played around in Unity for a bit!

Took notes on physics slideshow about electric circuits

Started the new topic in methods; counting methods and statistics

Wrote down the personal curriculum for October

Another slow day, but I know tomorrow will be much more productive as I'm going to the building for my VET course in game programming to catch up on some work that I missed while being sick. I'll work on some physics or maths on the train to and from the building.

Cleaned my room to set up my new desk and chair

Skimmed my maths notes and made a list of all the topics i need more practice in

Slow start, but I slept all day due to fatigue (and I'm still tired, almost falling asleep typing this). Once I post this I will go through my physics slideshows and make notes of it tomorrow.

I really want to start a "x days of productivity" but I'm not sure how many days to put. Maybe 30 to start with and we'll see how it goes. I'll start it tonight as I plan to clean my room and maybe read through my maths notes.

I'm out of school for the next week and a half. Next term will be the last term of year 11, which is scary to think about. During the holidays, my plan is to catch up on my understanding of the previous topics in both methods, spec, and physics so that I won't be lost when the new term starts. I can't wait to be a year 12!
