The kind of woman who was happiest either with a book or covered in machine oil.
Basilica was the kind of person who located the nearest library or bookstore, because she was always eager to either find the latest tech magazine to read up on or ancient tomes that let her look at schematics of old machines for inspiration and just recreational reading. The only thing that rivaled Basilica's love of machines was her love of books (and eventually her kids would be more important than either).
Another thing she was always eager for was to get her own hands inside of something to tinker with it. One of her favourite things to work on had been an intact Magearna she'd found by chance and she got back to operation, which had been happily by her side until she had to leave Kalos in a hurry with Taunie and Urbain.
Name: Basilica Curie. Nickname: Basil.
Age: Approx. 40-45.
Height: 5'6". Hair: Blonde. Eyes: Green.
Gender: Cis Female. Sexuality: Pansexuel, Panromantic; leans towards masculine presenting individuals.
Family: Jett (mother), Taunie (daughter), Urbain (son), Oriel (older brother, deceased)
Summary: Born into money, Basilica was the younger of two siblings, but always the one ignored in favour of her brother who was set to become the next head of their mother's corporation. Basilica was given the education of a young lady such a music, decorum lessons and other related lessons related to becoming a future pawn to use in a marriage to seal contracts between two corporations.
However, instead of attending those lessons, Basilica did her best to run wild. Striking out at age 16 to go on a Pokemon journey and finding out what the world had to offer. Enjoying the natural world, taking part in Pokemon battles and getting her hands deep into the sciences after taking up with a travelling Professor Rowan and his young assistants.
Basilica was heavily interest in ancient civilizations and their technologies and what the past could do for the future. Despite how much her mother disapproved of it, Basilica went on to study technology at a university, her bright attitude and promise garnering the attention of many. When she graduated, her mother and her got into an argument about what Basilica's future would be like; Jett had already planned everything out for her children, including who they would marry.
Horrified and angry, Basilica left home, eventually to be picked up by Lysander Labs and recruited into Flare when she thought the ideal was to better the world, not destroy it.
After having a one night stand with someone, Basilica became pregnant, now with kids to take care of. She loved her children though, and worked hard for them and even going so far as to flee from Kalos entirely, taking them all the way to Sinnoh for safety, where she took on a job at a Pokemon lab to make ends' meet in roder to safely raise Taunie and Urbain.
Overwork has ruined her health, thoguh and would eventually come to claim her in the future.
My rules are quite simple:
1. I curate what I see on my dash. Do not take it personally if I don't follow back. You are great, I'm just a busy person and refuse to let myself be overwhelmed or see things that make me uncomfortable as it has happened in the past. The most recent happenstances caused me to go on hiatus for over a year. Let's not repeat this.
2. I do not want to be involved in drama. If you have beef with someone or there is something going on the in RPC I will not hear of it. Part of why I originally left Tumblr was the constant drama and I do not have the mental capacity for it. I am here to enjoy a hobby, not watch people call each other out yet again.
3. OOC harassment of any type towards me will also not be tolerated.
4. Muse is in his twenties and mun is a thirty something year old potato. For this reason I will not interact with minor muns and minor characters (with certain exceptions , but do not try to beg to be one of them).
5. I will ask personals to not reblog anything from my blog. It makes me highly uncomfortable. I don't mind you following and watching but you will get banned if you reblog anything I write without permission. Otherwise, I do allow some interaction through asks (like if you ask headcanon questions, but you cannot reblog them).
6. You are not obligated to ship any of my ships. Honestly chemistry is best and if we vibe then let's go. Also it should be unsaid but no ships with minors because that is gross. Do not approach me with this at all.
I am sorry if these rules come off as harsh in any way. However as an adult in the roleplay community space, I make it my responsibility to make sure I am safe for myself first and foremost. I am not responsible for others and this is how I protect myself.
