It's a bit disappointing but what can I expect from a show with a total of eight mf episodes per season.
I'm midway season 2 of Wednesday (late, I know, blame college or whatever) and it's sooo rushed, there are too many plots and the Netflix eight episodes formula isn't enough to cover them up, I genuinely think the ideas are good but the time they need to convey all the things behind every existent character is lacking and we barely get to know them because of the pressure to make it all fit in eight episodes of fifty minutes and to that we have to add the new character additions. It was bound to be messy and fuck netflix we deserve proper seasons with 20 episodes MINIMUM to develop every character and plot so they make more sense, because we had a lot of Wednesday (ofc she's the main character) but I firmly believe we need to know more of her (and she needs to go rampant and start killing people), Tyler's arch feels rushed, Enid's arch is feeling hollow, Bianca's arch feels undeveloped, we need more of Agnes motives and personality besides the Wednesday's stalker thing and and don't get me started on Ajax and Eugene because we saw glimpses of them and I don't think that's enough (although I still think Ajax is bound to die given his name association to Greek mythology but that is a thing for another day).
That's just for the characters I wanted to see again plus Agnes who I find interesting, for the numerous plots that feel rushed and the other characters, if I start I'm afraid this will be longer than expected (the aviante thing was a good idea but sooo rushed, so was the whole willow hill plot, so was Francoise).
AND DON'T LET ME START ON DONOVAN'S DEATH. I found it soooo unnecessary.
At least the Addams are good (dentro de lo que cabe, like mi grandma would say) it could been worse.
Ugh, I hope it gets better toward the end (I already spoiled myself so I know there's some good wyler meal so at least I have SOMETHING to be happy about)
