“Well.. I can actually send out many…. In a sense? You see, if an akuma is freed from where it flew into – and is not immediately purified… it will multiply into hundreds, if not thousands of akumas, rather quickly. Though I doubt I’d need that many at once, but you get the idea.”

She vaguely recalled the incident in which Ivan’s akuma had multiplied, creating dozens of (ugly) sculptures around the city that had become an army of sorts when reanimated. A thoughtful frown creased her brow.

“So what you’re saying is...if I can distract Ladybug between when she breaks the cursed item and captures the butterfly, we can raise our own armies, am I right?” She also wondered how the purification would work in her own case, as her ‘cursed’ object would never be anywhere within Ladybug’s targeting range. The idea of an army under her control was appealing.

((Most of you don’t know me on any of my other blogs, so this is a (late) heads up that sometimes I vanish for a while because I get caught up doing something else. In this particular case, the cause was Tales of Link, which I’ve been playing obsessively since I downloaded it. 

I’ve been over on my Zelos blog mostly and not checking in here. Sorry about that. Also, because I haven’t been checking this blog, I may have misplaced a thread or two. Feel free to shoot me a message if I owe you something.

I won’t say that I won’t get distracted again because that would be a lie, but I will make an effort to catch up over here and keep things active.))

As she pulled a few books out of her locker, Bridgette didn’t even notice the exchange between Chloe and Sabrina. It just so happened that she was figuring out what she’d need for her own history homework when Chloe’s voice brought her out of her thoughts. Bridgette looked up, glancing at the paper in Chloe’s hand before smiling at her. “I know. It’s going to take forever. It’s pointless really, it’s all just names and dates.” She sighed, putting the book in her bag and shutting her locker.

She knew that usually Sabrina did Chloe’s homework, and while she wondered why Chloe was doing this one, she didn’t ask. “Would you like to do it together? It may go faster if we do it with each other.” She noted, slinging her heavy bag over her shoulder.

Bridgette’s hair was wild, and terribly in the way. She took out a bobby pin from where it wasn’t doing it’s job and moved it, attempting to tame her hair. It didn’t work and she huffed softly, starting to dig through her purse for another one. This is why she normally wore her hair in pigtails, but she’d been wanting a change recently.

At least Bridgette had closed the gap and suggested they work together, because Chloe was fairly certain she would never have actually gotten around to openly suggesting that on her own, with or without her subtle underlying desire to get more information on what Bridgette thought of Ladybug. She watched the other girl fidgeting and fussing with her crazy mess of hair, noting with detachment that unlike her cousin, Bridgette appeared to have ditched the kiddy pigtail style. Maybe she was tired of being mistaken for a five year old.

Not that Ladybug didn’t make pigtails look good.

“It really is pointless, isn’t it? Who cares about these old stuffy dead people, I’d rather learn about more modern things. Like Ladybug maybe.” She watched Bridgette’s face closely when she mentioned the super-heroine's name. “But yes, it will go faster with someone else to help out.” Maybe that was the wrong phrasing, it sounded like she expected Bridgette to take Sabrina’s place and do her homework for her. Oh well, she’d already said it, it was too late now. “Library or cafe?” she asked, forestalling any potential invitations to study in the park.

tfw you realize there are two possible (and incredibly hilarious) scenarios behind this parallel:

a) chloe’s copying the way ladybug acts with chat noir because clearly whatever ladybug’s doing is working for her, as chat is totally smitten

b) marinette’s copying the way chloe acts with adrien because clearly whatever chloe’s doing is NOT working for her and is the best way to keep boys back
