this feels like an important parallel that i haven't seen talked about yet

OK here goes nothing:

The parallels between

"What are you going to be?" and "Do you believe in destiny?" Pyrrha believing it was her forced destiny to protect remnant and its people no matter what

Pyrrha: "i've always felt that I was destined to become a huntress. To protect the world and it has become increasingly clear to me that my feelings were right but i don't know if i could do it"

Jaune: "if you really believe it’s your destiny to save the world, you can’t let anything stand in your way."

and Ruby feeling forced into her role to protect remnant and it's people. The conversation V9 Ruby has with her younger self is extremely reminiscent of Pyrrha's conversations with Jaune. Except for one thing. Ruby is given a choice. We see Pyrrha forced into her larger than life role and inevitably die because of it. She felt her hand was forced by even the people she trusted. (Which also parallels what we know about Summer Rose) Ruby is given the choice to continue on her path to her chosen destiny or to chose to be something else entirely, but before she can make her decision, the Curious Cat steps in before she makes a choice out of desperation. And as we can see from the Red Prince and the Apothecary the cat is there to relieve the characters of their roles in the Ever After when they do not live up to them. It was not Ruby's time to be "relieved". But that same question is going to come back this season

What are you going to be? But it's about Ruby's choosing her destiny unlike those before her.
